"Hey Adrian. I…" someone grabs my wrist from behind the desk.

"GET DOWN!" Adrian whisper shouts.

"What's going on?" I whisper back confused.

"I'm running low on amo so I can't let them know where I am." He gestures to his nerf gun. I now see his usual smart attire has been picked apart. His shoes have been discarded, his jacket tied diagonally across his chest by the sleeves with nerf bullets in the pockets and his tie is tied around his head to keep his hair out of his face.

"You know you're a politician, right?" I say condescendingly

"Yes and The Rats have started a war so like any good politician, I'm hiding behind a desk and letting innocent people die for my cause." He calls his younger half siblings The Rats. I learnt this during our second politics lesson when I got a full family history.
