Memories of Dreams Wondering upstairs to look through some of her mom's stuff, hoping there was something written down about these demons and deaths. The big question was what they were looking for. Opening her wooden cabinet, Megan pulled a box out that was filled with notebooks. Her mom loved writing and would write what she had always thought were fairy tales. One notebook she opened was about a mortal girl and a demon falling in love, which started a chain of evil. She read how the family died one by one and how the only survivor was one boy with clear blue eyes. It was written how he would have to fight the darkness that roamed the earth. He would be the one to save us, but he will need help from others that control the elements. One would master water and the other handle earth. Soon, fire and air would join them. Seeing that the story was written in her mother's handwriting, she took everything as fact because could never remember when her mother had lied to her growing up.

Daniel watched as the human angrily climbed into his red and chrome Corvette the changing of Eric began. The 1969 apple red stingray corvette roared to life as Eric backed his baby out of her driveway and made his way back home. Oh, he will make her pay. Nothing like this would have happened if he had a hold on her earlier, but that was his mistake, and he will take it. With that, he gunned the car the last few miles to his house. He never saw Daniel follow him home, watching and waiting for the right time to take him. Eric pulled into his driveway and throw his car into park. He sat there for a few minutes as the rain just pounded the ground around him. He was losing control, and he didn’t like it one bit. Eric walked into his house, and he always admired his modern style house. Clean lines and organized is what he thrived on. Now Megan threatened his flow, and he wasn’t going have it. Chapter 11
Bloody Mary Mary knew that the bodies had been stacking up as a lazy tech pushed it toward the elevator. She could tell by the look of indifference on his face where he was going. The sound of popping gum echoed the hallway as she walked unnoticed as she headed toward the stairs. Stopping at the morgue door and with a shiver, Mary slid through the door quietly and stood in the shadows waiting for the drop off the dead body. The best part was the place was totally empty, and she knew the kid would wheel the body in initial the paperwork and disappear. Her first one happened to be patient, and it really was an accident many years ago. When Mary found later what landed the guy in the hospital, she started to think of it as a public service. When they had kissed, she felt whole, and that was something she hadn’t in years. She loved the way his hands felt on her body and how carefree it made her feel. She didn’t have to wait long because there was a knock at her front door that brought her out of her haze. She still had a smile when she went to open it, there stood Eric. A feeling of Déjà vu took over Megan as she watched Eric standing there. She couldn’t tell if this was a dream or if this time, she was awake. Chapter 13Coming of Age Two weeks later Sage was sitting in a dark room with three computers humming. She watched as her printer spit out page after page of her report that she needed to give her contact. The room had a faint smell of flowers, and the place was littered with water bottles. In a crystal vase held some old flowers that look like they could be dried. On her desk, there were two pictures. One with her mom and one with her dad. They both gave her comfort through the day, so she kept them right there. Sage was in an old one-bedroom farmhouse that her dad had found for her to do her computer work. He told her when she was younger that he didn’t mind her computer crap everywhere. So, one day he took her to a house from the ’20s and told her to get to work. He wanted her to learn how to put something back together no matter what. Her dad, David Blackwater had taught her many different things from Jit Jitu’s to hack into one of the hardest computer systems, namely Homeland s

The Awakening Sage had walked the darkened path toward her house just like the last night, but this time she was going to be ready for anything. She made sure she had her gun in her back holster that her dad had bought her. At her hip, she had a great set of butterfly knives that had belonged to her mother. The closer she got she heard someone in her house. But when she had gotten closer, she peaked in the window and found a pale blond meth head throwing her old, one of a kind books around the room. Someone was sitting at her dad’s desk, but she was having trouble seeing who it was. But that didn’t bother her much until the weasel had picked up a picture of her mother. She hugged the wall as she made her way toward him. She had cocked the gun and put it at the back of his head. “Watch looking for? Maybe I can help you?” demanded Sage cocking her gun as she placed it the back of his head. With his hands, up the kid stood up and that is when the lamp had turned on. Sitting her dad’

Aftermath of Evil Jared didn’t move from Sage’s side.“Excuse me, sir. I can’t get to your friend with you standing in the way.” Dr. Raymond stood there staring at Jared waiting for him to move. Jared only took two steps to the left and said nothing. “One thing Doc, she screams you die.” Replied Jared as he stared into the doc’s eyes. The doctor stared at Jared for a second, then with a gulp, he started to bark out orders for an IV and x-ray and a bunch of painkillers. The nurses and tech went running at the sound of his voice, but he didn’t scare Jared. No one saw Sage wake up at the prick of the IV. “What the hell!” Sage jumped off the gurney swinging catching a nurse in the right eye. Her eyes were huge as she scanned the room for an exit but finding none. She wasn’t sure what to do, but she would fight until she couldn’t anymore. She would make her dad proud. Megan was almost done with her shift, but something told her to go and check the ER. Her night was shot to hell becau

Chapter 17
Darkness Falls Mary looked outside only to see darkness. She had gotten home from work and went straight up toward her attic. She was still on a natural high from what happened just before her shift had ended. “Another asshole bit the dust,” She thought. The guy had brought his injured wife into the ER a few times already. When Mary had laid her eyes on her, she had begun shaking with anger. She could see the healed scars on her face from the past. Lately, she had been having flashbacks of her mother and her drunk ass father. How that pig of a man had beat her mother often, but she had stopped it when she was eighteen. Ever since then she took control over anything evil. The women had a black eye, an obvious broken right arm. And when they had to bring her up to x-ray, they found out she had a laceration across her spleen. The husband had to stay behind while his wife was sent up for surgery. Before Mary knew it, she had loaded the syringe with the right meds. She had walked behin
