The Awakening Sage had walked the darkened path toward her house just like the last night, but this time she was going to be ready for anything. She made sure she had her gun in her back holster that her dad had bought her. At her hip, she had a great set of butterfly knives that had belonged to her mother. The closer she got she heard someone in her house. But when she had gotten closer, she peaked in the window and found a pale blond meth head throwing her old, one of a kind books around the room. Someone was sitting at her dad’s desk, but she was having trouble seeing who it was. But that didn’t bother her much until the weasel had picked up a picture of her mother. She hugged the wall as she made her way toward him. She had cocked the gun and put it at the back of his head. “Watch looking for? Maybe I can help you?” demanded Sage cocking her gun as she placed it the back of his head. With his hands, up the kid stood up and that is when the lamp had turned on. Sitting her dad’

Aftermath of Evil Jared didn’t move from Sage’s side.“Excuse me, sir. I can’t get to your friend with you standing in the way.” Dr. Raymond stood there staring at Jared waiting for him to move. Jared only took two steps to the left and said nothing. “One thing Doc, she screams you die.” Replied Jared as he stared into the doc’s eyes. The doctor stared at Jared for a second, then with a gulp, he started to bark out orders for an IV and x-ray and a bunch of painkillers. The nurses and tech went running at the sound of his voice, but he didn’t scare Jared. No one saw Sage wake up at the prick of the IV. “What the hell!” Sage jumped off the gurney swinging catching a nurse in the right eye. Her eyes were huge as she scanned the room for an exit but finding none. She wasn’t sure what to do, but she would fight until she couldn’t anymore. She would make her dad proud. Megan was almost done with her shift, but something told her to go and check the ER. Her night was shot to hell becau
Darkness Falls Mary looked outside only to see darkness. She had gotten home from work and went straight up toward her attic. She was still on a natural high from what happened just before her shift had ended. “Another asshole bit the dust,” She thought. The guy had brought his injured wife into the ER a few times already. When Mary had laid her eyes on her, she had begun shaking with anger. She could see the healed scars on her face from the past. Lately, she had been having flashbacks of her mother and her drunk ass father. How that pig of a man had beat her mother often, but she had stopped it when she was eighteen. Ever since then she took control over anything evil. The women had a black eye, an obvious broken right arm. And when they had to bring her up to x-ray, they found out she had a laceration across her spleen. The husband had to stay behind while his wife was sent up for surgery. Before Mary knew it, she had loaded the syringe with the right meds. She had walked behin
The Evil Inside Sage was in her room looking through the few things her mother had left her. Sage had come across a small wooden box that had been hand carved. She traced a small patterned on the side, pressed a hidden latch, opening the box. Inside the old hand-carved wooden box sat an old crystal, yellowed with age decor. There was an emerald on it with a large crack in it, but Sage could feel the power that came from off. A folded piece of paper lay underneath the crystal, pulling it out she could tell that the crystal was very important. Pulling the paper out Sage sat down to read it. The letter was addressed to her father. She could feel her mother as she read each word. She had written about the piece of crystal that had been scattered across time, and the only way to keep it safe was to send it to others with power like her mother's. But the letter read like instructions and the path lead her toward her dad's room. Trying the doorknob and finding it locked. "Damn it, Dad. Wh
The Good Nurse The hospital was teeming with people. Mary was standing in the middle of it all. She had been seeing evil at every turn. Unsure of what to do she had planned to help rid her town of any evil, and she was going to start with the people she saw every day. Standing back in the shadow of the nursing station she watched as Dr. Anderson ripped a nurse a new ass for making a simple mistake. Mary knew that she had to make an example out of him and soon. Mary slipped into the med room to check on supplies for the floor. That’s when she saw a compact open and pills spilled all over the floor. Thinking that it was one of the younger nurses she had to turn this around on Dr. Anderson but how she wasn’t sure yet. That is when she heard a code called. Doctors and nurses went running past her stopping at bay 15. That was one 48-year-old male that had a heart attack in the Walmart up the street. Mary knew the man well. His mother had died four years before, and he was never married.
Messy Living “You thought you could beat me. That will never happen. You should give up now.” Demanded Daniel. She knew Eric wouldn’t say a word about what was going on. Making sure he was still alive she called the squad for Eric. She wasn’t sure what she was going to say to them when they got there, but she knew just about anything would do because of no matter what a lie is still a lie. Megan also knew that Eric wouldn’t make trouble for her because who in their right mind would believe him that she was a witch. Now that Daniel was out of Eric, he will become stronger on his own, but they had some time before he could get his full strength back and hopefully, that would buy them enough time to come up with a plan.Megan walked up the pathway to Thomas’s house still a little pissed about his dream walking, but she was going to forgive him if he showed her how to do it. She had wanted to see him ever since her last report had been finished that night. She had just. wanted a normal n
Chapter TwentyDeath Fight Thomas woke up to a thin blade sliding into his ribs like butter by some no named demon. “Mother fucker,” Groaned Thomas. “Is that really needed?” It took him a second before he knew where he was. Barely opening his swollen eyes, Thomas saw a filthy, pig of a man standing there in the corner in total ecstasy as a no named demon cut him up trying to make him call his family to save him. He couldn't do that, it wasn't about to happen. He made the mistake of not listening to Megan he wasn’t about to unleash this bastard on her. Some laughter started to bubble up from inside him. God knows where it came from. “Hey, you. fat boy,” He croaked. “Come here. I have something to tell you.” He was looking at the human that was following the demons around like a faithful puppy dog. Oh, he was real he thought. But he just had trouble wrapping his head around the fact the nasty excuse for a human would seek out the demon out of his own free will. Thomas knew that the
