31/ THE TRUTH IS...
We stayed like that for a few moments before we got back in the car. Neither of us spoke a word to each other throughout the drive to the hospital. I didn't trust my voice not to crack and Moore was avoiding eye contact all through. Relief washed over me when the car pulled to a halt, the entire ride had been suffocating. I glanced up and realized that we had arrived at the hospital. I removed my seat belt and got out of the car; Following Moore's trail into the hospital, although I was a psychologist, I hated hospitals with every fiber of my being. Whenever I stepped into one, the image of my father being pulled out, lifeless, flashed over my eyes countless times. “Hello, My friend was brought in a few hours ago, Her name is Lucia Dawn, do you know how she is doing?” Moore asked sharply. I ran my hands through my hair and waited beside him. The nurse behind the desk frowned. I watched as she spared us a glance before she quietly replied. “I’ll confirm

32/ DON’T LEAVE ME
“I’m not leaving you.” I matched his surprised gaze and took a step forward. “I’m not going away when you need me the most.” I deadpanned. “What makes you think I need you?” Moore retorted. “Your eyes... The way they stare at me... The sadness, pain, and frustration in them, every single thing about you Moore...” I ran my hands through my hair and glanced around. “I-I’ve never felt like this before! But I know that I don’t want to leave you, I can’t leave you.” I confessed in one breath. “Really?” Moore broke out in a breathless chuckle. “And when these twenty-five days are up?” My head snapped up at that. “You’ll go. You’ll go far way and I will never see you again.” Moore grabbed me and I yelped. “So don’t stand here and tell me that you are going to stay when you are just a few days from leaving!” Moore snapped and pushed me. I stumbled but regained my bearings just in time.“Everyone leaves Amber. Dad. Mom. Louisa. Christine will get t

33/ OH, WHAT AN END IT WOULD BE
We pulled away from each other slowly. I could still taste the mint in my mouth when I glanced away from him and nervously tapped my feet against the ground. "So...um, what's next?" I asked without making eye contact, I heard a sigh and turned to look at Moore. "We've got to go home." He explained softly. "And Lucia?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. I was surprised that he would leave her there, especially because of how upset he looked earlier. "She'll be fine." Moore offered and dusted his clothes, "Petunia will be here anytime soon," I nodded in response to his words even though I had no clue who petunia was, she was probably a relative of Lucia.  "So, do you want to grab a coffee while I book the flight?" Moore asked softly. I blinked at his kindness and stumbled back in shock. A small chuckle brought me back to my senses. "Are you always this dramatic?" Moore asked with a raised eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and jogged back into the hospital.

34/ WHAT HAVE I DONE?
"Everything is going to be fine," Moore promised when I pulled away from the hug. I nodded and ran my hands through my hair, I took in his messy appearance, his normally styled dark fringe was in all the wrong places and his baby blue eyes lost the spark of intimidation they usually had. It wasn't just his appearance though; It was the way he spoke, the way he looked at me and reacted. It felt like this was a completely different Moore and the previous one was just an exterior. Moore grabbed my hand into his and squeezed it. I smiled and glanced away. "When did the doctor say we could leave? Since it was just a few bruises... I don't want to be stuck here while Christine is all alone—""Hey-Hey—" Moore stopped me mid-talking, He pulled a strand of my hair behind my ear and spoke; "Marissa is with Christine, she left Malawi a few days ago. So don't worry about that. Plus, we can't just leave, we don't have a van and I don't think I grabbed my wa

35/ I TOLD MOM
"Moore!" I called out and chased after him, the door slammed in my face before I could get into his room. I turned and slid down the door, I had not been expecting such a reaction from him. It may seem as though the Moore dynasty had a lot more secrets than they had led on earlier. "Moore I just want to talk... you need to help me, help you." I confessed softly and I sucked in a sharp breath. I brought my knees to my chest and ran my hands through my hair. I glanced around the hotel space. The shards of glass were glaring at me from their place on the ground. I let out a short sigh of defeat and stood up. I glanced at the door and made a mental note to come back when I was done picking up the glass shards. Slowly, I dragged my feet toward the mess on the ground. The image of Moore leaving the room flashed in my memory again. Dread filled me when I realized that I had pushed too far. I knew it was personal. I should not have pushed him so much, I would h

36/ WHAT ABOUT CHRISTINE?
Moore snorted and sat up. A sad smile spread across his thin lips and I could hear the sharp puffs of breath that escaped his lips. “You should have seen them…they were yelling. Arguing, Mom threatened to sue and dad threatened to take us away. That was the last time I saw my mom or Christine,” Moore explained softly and ran his fingers through his thick fringe. I held my breath at the silence that filled the room. The entire time, all Moore did was stare ahead. I was no fool, I could see and feel the pain in his eyes. Talking about trauma was difficult, especially if you spent your entire life convincing yourself that there was no need to fix that part of you. “I got shoved into a boarding school and Mom started working excessively. She wanted to get me out of there, take Christine and me out of the country — Fix things…” Moore paused and sucked in a sharp breath. I squeezed his free hand to offer some sort of comfort.I had no clue whether or not he understood the gesture because

37/ WHERE IS CHRISTINE
"What are you saying?" Moore's voice held uncertainty and disbelief. I licked my lips nervously and scarred my gaze. "You remember when I stopped you from breaking those glasses?" I asked, Moore, nodded quickly. "After you left, Andrew came." I could feel Moore's eyes on me. I turned and matched his gaze. "I always felt that something was so wrong with the way he looked at me and now it makes sense because—""Did he do anything to you?" Moore rushed out and I paused. "No," I confessed and sat up, Moore followed suit. "He didn't the chance because Christine stepped in, she defended me." I continued sharply. "But when we went to her room, she broke down, and...""And what?" Moore asked and I wrapped my hands around myself and sucked in a deep breath. "What happened?" Moore pressed on. "She told me that he had abused and raped her for so many years and she thought he was doing the same with Louisa." Moore stood up and punched the closest wall. I sprang up to my feet and tried to stop

38/ YOU LIED TO ME?
Moore grabbed Andrew's white collar and pushed him against the golden walls of their home, "Where is Christine?!" He demanded in a sharp tone. I looked around the living room for any sign of the blonde-haired girl, but she was nowhere to be found. I frowned and ran up the stairs to check the rooms, Christine sounded very distressed when we spoke. Could Andrew attack his daughter? I paused when I reached Christine's pale purple-themed room, I walked in and everything had been turned upside down. The dresser was empty. The sheets had been pulled off and there were scratch marks on the wall. I stumbled back and my heart sank."Christine?" I called out softly. "Christine!" My voice was louder and I took a few steps toward the bathroom and opened it, but she was nowhere to be found. I sucked in a sharp breath and felt my chest tighten. I rested on the wall and slid down. Something horrible had happened and now, Christine was nowhere to be found. I pulled myself up and caught sight of a

39- TRUST ME.
I felt my eyes fill up with tears and I held the chair beside me for support. I had nothing to say or do to defend myself. Andrew had practically cornered me. "M-Moore I—""Yes or No?" His voice cracked and he took a step toward me. He placed his hand on my arm, " If you tell me that none of this is true, I will Believe you. You just need to confirm it, you didn't do this right? You didn't know about Christine's illness, right? You never lied to me—" "I did!" I snapped and took two steps away from him. My hands went to my hair and I pulled it in frustration. I locked eyes with Moore, his blue orbs seemed lost in a trance. I felt my heart twist and turn in my chest. I had betrayed him, hadn't I?"But I—" I tried to speak but Moore held his hand up to stop me. "I trusted you," He admitted. "I-I trusted you," His voice was raised at this point. "Trust me, I did not do anything to hurt you—""Trust you?" Moore scoffed. "

40- HE RUINED MY LIFE
I dropped to the ground and my eyes stung with tears, I had no clue who was capable of doing something as brutal as this. Surely, someone was trying to kill me. But this was just going too far. I knew the images staring back at me were not mine. Yet, the resemblance sent shivers down my spine. Who could have done this? Who could have released nude images of Louisa on social media? I dragged myself up and wiped my tears. The only Louisa everyone knew right now was me. The Moores were influential and thanks to Madame Amelia, the news of the wedding had been published everywhere. The only person who hated Louisa was Marissa. Then there were attacks from the unknown person as well; I wasn't even sure who was attacking who, this identity game was driving me insane. But the only person who had access to photos like these would be Andrew or... My eyes widened in realization and I mentally slapped myself. There was no way Moore could do this; Right? The more I thought about it though, the
