51 Alive and well
Christopher Brooks and I went to my car to have a conversation. He said it was private talk, and I wondered what it might be. We sat in the car, and Luis stood guard. "Sorry to trouble you like this. I know you have a lot planned out, but I needed to speak to you about my niece, whom you are married to," he said, and I frowned at him. "I know I have never visited or spoken to her, and maybe I should, but I am not good at building relationships, especially broken ones," he said and sighed, then pinched the bridge of his nose. "I am only telling you this because of what Queen Agnes is doing. I would have held my peace if King Edward was still alive, but I can't anymore. I know you love her and will protect her. So, I know I can trust you with this information." He said, and I knew he would tell me what I already knew and much more, so I was attentive. "My sister wasn't a bad person like people try to make her seem. That was queen Agnes's narrative of her; in fact, she was a joy.

52 It will be Explosive
Christopher. As we drove into the gates of the Lycan kingdom, I felt giddy because I knew the drama that would ensue. A king presumed dead had returned, and he had found his heir. I wondered how Agnes and her co-conspirators would take it. The men looked at my Jeep funny, and I could not blame them; it had just survived the attack of the Bandit Clan. I hoped we could solve this matter once the Lycan king was back in power because Aaron was not doing an excellent job. I wasn't happy about everything because it meant I would get to spend less time with my wife, and we didn't have much of that left. It was frustrating. Someone came towards me, where I parked my Jeep, to lead me inside. It was clear I was no longer an ally because I would usually walk in without issue. I linked King Edward to cover his face with a hoody while he carried my wife, who was wrapped in a blanket. Carrying my sleeping wife would draw less attention to him than if I were carrying her and he was on his own.

53 In The Culprit's Shoes
Christopher. Willow relaxed on the couch in the room allocated to us, and I could tell she was nervous. It wasn't every day that people realised that they were royalty. I could understand why she was nervous, and I could feel the tinge of anger she was radiating. I touched her hand, and she looked at me with misty eyes. "How do I tell him I do not have long to live?" she said, voicing the one thing that troubled both our hearts and I held her while she cried. "It will break him, Chris; it will destroy him," she said. I wanted to tell her it was breaking me too, but I held it together and gently patted her. "It is okay, my love. I am sure he will be fine," I said, and she wrapped her arms around me. "Why will the goddess be so cruel?" She asked, and I shook my head. "It was my fault, Willow. I did this to us. I did not protect you and allowed those two to destroy us. This is on me," I said, and I believed every word. I deserved the heartbreak that would come with her departure b

54 How The Dinner Went
Willow. I watched as they dragged the culprits out of the dining room. People were in fear, and Queen Agnes was shaking. "I swear, darling, I did not know that was what they were doing. I genuinely thought you had a brain disease," She said, wiping away her tears. Elder Ramos looked at my father with concern and then looked at me. "Thank you for saving his life, young lady. The Lycan kingdom is indebted to you. You have averted a horrible war that would have happened had he died. Thank you so much." He said, and I smiled at him. "It is an honour to serve my king," I said, and then the man nodded. "If I may, your Majesty, Alpha Christopher's Luna looks a lot like your mother. She has her eyes," Elder Ramos said. "Is that why you are so fond of her?" he asked, and my father began to laugh. "You are too nosy for your good, Ramos; I am glad you notice the similarities between her and my mother because that brings us to the next reason why I called this dinner," He said and touched

55 Who Do They Serve
Willow, I was amazed at how my father broke the news and how they took it. I wondered what would happen to Agnes because the punishment for treason was death. Would he exile her as they did to my mother, or would he go by the book? It was sad that I could not relish in the moment, but I was grateful that my mother would get the justice she deserved in this life. My father asked Christopher and me to join him in his lounge. He did not want me out of sight, and I could understand his feelings. I would honestly do the same. Looking at how attached he was, I suspected he would not want us to leave, but we had to. I was racing against time, and there was still so much to do because the vision remained the same. I still saw the massacre and the bandit clan winning. We entered the lounge and sat on the loveseat, and Christopher drew me close. I sank into his embrace and wondered why it didn't go this way in the first place. Yes, I did many things differently that put us on this path

56 Back To Rain
Christopher It was amazing to see how Edward took Willow's explanation. I was waiting for him to feel insulted, but he believed her. I knew if it weren't for the incident with the Bandit Clan that attacked, he would have doubted her sanity or felt we were spewing nonsense. It is all working together for good. I was worried when Elder Ramos told us why former Beta Gregory tried to kill his king. If indeed these people possessed such powers, their offer could seduce anyone. Their strength was growing, and soon, I could see Willow's vision coming true. I did not know how to solve this matter. As things were, Aaron wasn't helping the situation in our territory, and I felt that would be the first place the bandits would overrun. Lucien blocking off his territory might have been to protect his people, but the bandit clan was part of his problem as most of them were bears and not werewolves, as presumed. Could he be waging a silent war with the werewolves? It was odd that the clan co

57 Dark Angry Eyes
Willow I could not believe the sight of the pack. It was horrible. There were burnt buildings, and there were a lot of injured people. I needed to figure out where to start. It seemed the medical staff had attended to them, but somehow I felt responsible for this. While I was spending time with my father, they were suffering an attack. I looked at Christopher as he checked on his officers, looking confused, and asked myself if I was good for him. I might be a lousy distraction without knowing it. He really did not need to go to the Lycan kingdom, but he did. He did it because of me, and I felt terrible. I checked on Luis, and he was in a comma. Leeana was crying by his side, but I was glad to see that she was alright. She stood up to hug me, and I wrapped my arms around her. She sobbed bitterly. "They came for us, Luna. They came, and they were impossible to kill. It was as if they possessed some special powers. We were at a great disadvantage. He tried to lead, and Mark and A

58 The Champions
Willow The player looked at me with pure rage in his eyes, and I was a bit scared. Instead of showing fear, I felt my lips curl into a smile. "I have made my move, Apate; it is time for you to make yours," I heard myself say in a voice that wasn't mine, and he looked at me darkly and angrily. "You are not allowed to cheat, Selene," he said with a female voice, and I shook my head. "Who said I was cheating? I am just doing what you have been doing. I just aided my champion." She replied, and I wondered what that meant. Apparently, I was seeing through Selene's eyes, and our opponent was Apate. "That was your essence, Selene. Killing my team with powers wasn't a part of the deal," He said and soon, the event that transpired when the rogues attacked us on our way to the Lycan kingdom played. I saw myself. I was a lycan white wolf with bright light emitting from me. It killed all the rogues that came in contact with the light. "What do you say for yourself?" Apate said, and Selene l

59 What Is Coming
Christopher I woke up and felt her body was cold. Honestly, I panicked, but I remembered the event in the past when she had an encounter with the goddess and decided to give it time. I waited a bit before entering the bathroom to prepare for the day. Although I never let anyone see my tears. I cried. If only I wasn't too blind and loyal, all this wouldn't have happened. I should have accepted my fated when she came to me and protected her from Aida, but I failed, leading us down this path. I knew Edward would not take it well when the time for Willow to leave came, just as I wouldn't take it easy. As much as I appreciate the surrogacy, I would have loved the journey with Willow. I rested my head against the tiled wall under the shower and wept. "Just let her remain with me. I am begging you. I will never ask for anything more but for Willow to live a full life with me. Please," I prayed, hoping the powers that be might listen and grant me my wish. Soon I heard footsteps and wi

60 The Assembly
Christopher. Luis, Garret and Mark were a bit confused with my words, and I could understand their confusion, but it was time to tell them the truth. They had encountered shifters that were almost impossible to kill and immune to silver; they should believe me. What they had witnessed was an impossibility, and yet it had occurred. "Willow, meet me in my office," I linked my wife, and she did not respond. I knew I left her with unfinished words. "Willow," I said, and there was no response. I looked at Luis. "Have you told the pack members to assemble on the ground?" I asked him, and he nodded. "Still linking them as we speak," He said, and I nodded. "Please excuse me; I will meet you on the grounds. I just need to check on my wife," I said, and they agreed. I sped back towards my room. I was worried. I shouldn't have left things like that. I shouldn't have voiced my pain as I did, but I had to. I was desperate, and I wanted the goddess to help me so I could keep my wife. I w
