What's to Come
After purchasing the gown, we decided to grab a bite to eat so that we could get to know Evelyn more. My mother had found out that Thomas and his little brother were raised rather similarly to our family so she grew curious. Evelyn had met Thomas while waitressing at a local pub and that was all it took for him to have swept her off of her feet. I smiled while listening to her talk about their relationship.Azzie nudged me before motioning towards the bathroom. I looked at her skeptically when she mouthed the words, ‘Come with me.’ I nodded towards her before excusing ourselves momentarily.“What’s up Azzie?” I asked once she had ensured that the women’s restroom was completely empty. She smiled while pulling out a box wrapped in a bow. “I want you to have this.” She h

Never Forgotten
The next month flew by quicker than I thought it would. The wedding was approaching rather quickly and we were in the process of packing and moving everything out of my mother’s house and into the penthouse. Azzie’s birthday party was planned for this next weekend in which she had no idea that we were even planning anything. She was turning 18 years old as well as working through her senior year of high school. “Eira!” I heard my mother’s voice call out from the office while I was sitting lost in my own thoughts in the living room. As I walked into her office, I replied, “Yeah Ma. What’s up?” She was looking more stressed than usual so I felt myself growing worried by the second. “Do you think Sam can help cook for the party? The caterer’s came down with some type of the flu or something so they had to cancel.” I chuckled quietly while nodding towards her. “He offered to help with that kind of stuff so yeah Ma, I’m sure he would be happy to do this.” She nodded, visibly relaxing

Surprise?
The party went off without a hitch, especially when Azzie noticed that Aidin was there. I discovered that they had been growing closer since I met the teen boy. Then, learning that they were raised in a similar situation as our families meant that my mother was more accepting of them. As the party was beginning to wind down a little, everyone had moved out into the backyard so that we could all relax. I saw Ethan and Sam seeming to argue about something so I went to check on the two of them. “Ethan, Sam, is everything okay over here?” I asked the two of them. Ethan turned his eyes away from us as Sam was nodding, his face betraying him. “Okay, spill because I know you two aren’t going to ruin Azzie’s special day!” I demanded. “It’s nothing–” Sam began but was cut off by Ethan. I could feel his pain and frustration so I knew something more serious was going on. “He said I’m too much of a coward for him to be with.” My eyes widened in shock as I heard my twin brother’s words, his voi

Surprise!!!!
Pregnant?!?!I stared down at the pregnancy test placed on my bathroom counter as the timer set on my phone chimed in the background. “Well are you gonna look at it?” Azzie asked me from her spot against the bathroom door frame. When I didn’t respond she walked over next to me, gathering the small test into her hands. “Holy crap!”I nodded meekly while feeling my hands beginning to shake. My breathing began to pick up speed in short huffs so she pulled me into her embrace.“Are you going to tell Koa?” I finally shifted to give her a skeptical look.“Of course I am! Why wouldn’t I?” I hissed. She shrugged while placing the test back onto the bathroom counter.“I

Just Need Time
Recap:“What the hell is that thing?” I blurted out while watching the monitor. “That thing, would be your child.” Doctor Williamson chuckled, causing me to childishly stick out my tongue at him. “I’d say that you are only about a month and a half along. Placing your due date around late May or early June.” —-------- I could hear the echoed voices around me as I became hyper aware of the heartbeat thumping throughout the small exam room. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt Koa grasp my hand. I looked from the little monitor up towards him just as he brought our hands up to his lips, placing a gentle kiss to my knuckles. I gave a small smile while he watched me closely.

Internal Battles
Recap:“You need to talk to him.” I gave him a skeptical glare. “Just listen to me for a minute. I think you do need to talk to him about this. Wait until you’ve calmed down and then talk to him. Be honest about all of it. You’re supposed to be marrying him in just a couple of weeks and you can’t start a marriage like this.” I nodded slowly as I took in his words, knowing deep down that he was right.—-----------------------After eating our food and continuing towards the lighter conversation topics, we paid the bill and left. We decided on picking up a few items at the local shop so that I could give the big surprise announcement to the rest of the family. Once we finished all of the rest of our errands, we made our way back home. I sighed in frustration when I saw Koa pacing back and forth on the front porch. “Talk to him.” My brother’s voice came out as a warning command causing me to nod.As we climbed out of my brother’s truck, Koa came around the corner of the house. “Where in

Challenges Welcomed
Recap: “Then do not ever, and I mean ever, lie to me again.” I warned before standing up to join the rest of my family. Before leaving the living room I turned back towards him, speaking up, “Now you can either come be a part of us or you can sit out here by yourself. If it were up to me though, I’d be making you get off your arse and follow me back to the rest of our families.” He nodded, standing up, quickly grabbing my hand in his. I nodded and began to walk, but he pulled me in closer to him. He brushed his thumb across my cheek before pulling me in for a brief but sweet kiss on the lips. —------------------------- The wedding was this next Saturday so there was a lot occurring at the family house at the moment. The setup for the celebration was looking gorgeous and the weather was fairly comfortable so that the wedding shouldn’t run into any hiccups since it was being held outside. I was startled when I heard a door slam behind me. Turning, I see that my little sister was the c

The Day Has Come
Recap:Forming a cross over where my heart was located, I spoke, “I promise. I will do as I’m told just this once.” He chuckled while shaking his head. I tossed my head back as laughter slipped through my lips. “You know that’s one of the reasons that you love me.” I smirked as our eyes met, our expressions becoming more serious. He gave a wolfish grin while nodding slowly before pulling me into him.“That and so much more, little Dawn.” He chuckled, planting a swift kiss on my temple before holding me tightly. “I’m so sorry for all of this though.” I nodded while rubbing his back gently.“I know.” I whispered.—--------------------The day has finally come for the wedding. It has definitely been a stressful week leading up to this day but now here I am standing in front of the mirror taking in my reflection. I turned towards the door when a light tap sounded from the wood before my sister walked in. “You look amazing, E!” She gushed causing me to give a slight nod. “You doing okay?”

First Night Completed
Recap: “Let’s do it.” I grinned while standing on my tiptoes so that I could kiss his lips. Once everyone was done eating their food it was time to cut the cake. Koa and I grinned at each other as we were each handed a piece. Azzie was standing next to me and Ethan was standing next to Koa. We moved in like we were going to get each other with the pieces of cake, but at the last second I smashed my piece of wedding cake into Ethan’s face while Koa did Azzie’s. The room erupted into fits of laughter while our second hands looked shocked. The rest of the night was filled with laughter and dancing. Our DJ asked everyone to leave the room so that Koa and I could have one last dance before the wedding was completely finished, giving us a moment to catch our breath. —-------------------------- I was surprised when Koa did not go back to the penthouse or even stay at my family’s house but instead drove to the airport. “What are we doing here?” I turned in the front seat to get a better loo
