'I thought Demons would look scarier than that. How do you know it is a Demon?' 'Can't you feel it? That thing has the same kind of dark aura as Zel.' Fenrir starts walking toward the Demon, his curiosity is getting the better of him. 'What are you doing?' Anubis yells. 'Don't worry, I won't let my guard down. I just want to figure something out.'As Fenrir approaches the demon, it notices him and turns around to greet Fenrir. "Hello, sir. Is there something that I can do for you?" "Yes, you can. I'm wondering if you know a demon that goes by the name of Zel." The demon looks confused for a moment but then quickly gains his composure. "Ahh, I was wondering if anyone was going to notice what I am. To be honest, I am surprised that someone did. My name is Maz'Girod, but you can call me Girod for short." The demon says as he stretches his hand out to greet Fenrir. But when Fenrir just stares at him, he realizes tha

Fenrir and Girod approach the cell where Fala is being held captive. When Fenrir peers into the jail cell, he is relieved to see that Fala looks fine. Spotting no injuries that he can see, it looks like torture is not something that they have resorted to. When Fala looks up and sees Fenrir standing there, she gets up quickly and grabs the jail cell bars. She hesitates for a moment, peering at the ground for a second before looking back up to him. "So, what name are you going by now?" "My birth name is Fenrir, I think I'll keep going by that name." Girod examines the stones in the hallway. "How are you going to get her out of there? These are anti-magic stones after all." Fala turns her attention to Girod. "Who's that idiot? Did you honestly believe that Fenrir would come here without a plan?" Girod shrugs. "Some take action without having a plan at all. You would be amazed at what some people do when they are desperate

"Have you ever encountered a summoner?" Girod asks while fiddling with a piece of paper."I can't say that I have. Although, I have heard about this sort of magic before." Fenrir responds. "Well, its kinda like those contracts everyone uses here. Except of borrowing magical energy from said creatures, what happens is that you summon them and set up a contract. We are on a tight schedule, so you may need to spend as much time in the other realm as possible. Time moved differently in each realm, so we need to find one where time moves faster there than it does here. For example, one day here could mean one week has passed there.""So, this would be a good way for me to get stronger before the demons decide to invade our realm." "Yes, since we don't know when that will happen, this is the best way to accomplish both goals at once.""Then we should get all the items at once." Fala says as she walks up to them. "The sooner we do this the bet

Chapter 44
While trying not to pass out from the pain of having a broken back, blood-curdling screams can be heard of the elf being killed by the demon just on the other side of the door. 'I should be safe here for now, but I'm just a sitting duck since I can't move my legs. There's no way I can fight in this condition.' Without realizing it, Fenrir wakes up after passing out. His rapid regeneration has helped him to the point where he has some feelings in his legs. He concludes that enough time has passed that the demon should be long gone by now. He reaches up and just barely manages to press the button to open the door. As the door opens, the remains of the elf can be seen. Blood covers a large portion of the area, the elf was ripped to pieces, its head detached from its body and the rest of it in a mangled mess with its guts spilling out onto the floor.Fenrir remembers the first time he had consumed the flesh of a human and how it revigorated him, maybe the same is tru

Chapter 45
It's been far too long since Fenrir had seen anyone else. 'Maybe I should have convinced those two to fight with me to bring that monster down. Then again, who's to say that thing down here is the biggest of my problems. I was the idiot who signed a contract with a dead guy, there's nothing stopping the people behind this from killing me after this is all over.'A sudden haze falls over Fenrir as he loses track of where he is. He knows this feeling too well, this can only be caused by someone using illusion magic. Unfortunately for him, he is weak to this kind of magic. Shapes begin to take form in front of him and it doesn't take long for him to figure out what it is. A transparent form of Luna appears before him. "Look what you did you me Fenrir. Thanks to you my life was cut short." "No, I...It wasn't my fault. I tried to save you. I was out of options, there was no way I could have known that it would try to take over my body." Fenrir pleads. "If I would have

Chapter 46
Fala looks around at the various hand made ceramic pots and bowls that occupy the tent of her now old brother. Decorated tribal blankets, fur coats and the strong smell of tobacco cover the rest. "How long have you been here? Fala asks."It's not much, but it's home." Lapu says as he notices her looking around the tent. "It's been a hundred winters since I have seen you last. In that time, we have managed to keep ourselves strong as a family through various forms of traditional ceremonies and forms of worship. Our young are taught to respect nature, to be grateful for the things we have."Lapu lights a couple of candles and sits down facing them with his eyes closed. "We have had a few disputes with the native humans that occupy this realm. As far as we know, magic is foreign to them. Legends grow among them of our existence, but they are only perceived as mythology." "If you were the only one sent here, then that means you turned some of the natives into

Chapter 47
Fenrir returns to the outpost in the dead of night. It would be far harder to explain where he had been to the entire group of wolves rather than his close friends. However, he is also here to tell them everything that's been going on. Since merging with Anubis, he is conflicted about how they will take this news. He wonders what the ramifications of his actions will have on their outlook of him. Not that he cares as much, but his curiosity is getting the best of him. In either case, he will accept whatever outcome happens.Waking them up at this hour will surely put them in a bad mood. Fenrir decides to travel to the training grounds where he knows they will return to in the morning. Upon reaching the training grounds, he starts to meditate on more important issues. 'I might think that I don't care what they are going to say about my actions. I won't know until I hear what they have to say. The actions I have taken under the false name I used to go by might shad

Chapter 48
"What exactly do you have in mind?" Fenrir asks slightly curious and afraid of what she has planned."It's an opportunity to prove that you can be trusted. If you'll allow me to enter your mind I can prove your innocence." Lucia looks over her shoulder at the rest of the group. "That's if you are innocent in the first place. Even if you did do all of those things, I can at least see the reason behind your actions."Fenrir closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "No, I refuse." "WHAT? Don't you understand the situation you're in? They're planning to kill you, at least this way tou have a chance of surviving. I don't think you realize just how strong Delmar is."Fenrir looks past Lucia to meet Delmar's gaze. "I think I can take him. If anything, he is underestimation just how strong I've become since we first met. It would be a good time to test out some of my new abilities."Lucia scoffs in disbelief. "What's wrong with you? Do you think you

"What do you mean? I still don't understand how this is possible?" Lucia asks.Suriel glances at Fenrir who doesn't seem as surprised as Lucia does. "Why aren't you freaking out like she is?" "Because, I've figured out what's going on. It's not that hard to imagine that an astral being like yourself could theoretically put part of your soul inside someone else." Fenrir says with a cocky tone. "What I don't understand is why you decided to do it." Suriel gives him a warm smile. "You're smarter than I thought you'd be." Her demeanor suddenly changes to a more serious tone. "You're here because you want to figure something out that you have forgotten, aren't you?" She purses her lips, puts her hands on her hips while looking at the ground trying to think of something. "No, it's something more than that. Perhaps, something about me." She looks back up at them. "You've found out why I made you. I should have expected this since I still have p

Half a minute goes by and neither Fenrir or Delmar move in to attack. Delmar gets irritated that Fenrir is just starting at him intently. "If you wont make the first move, then I will." Delmar says as he commands his army of shadows to match forward with a single hand gesture. Their movements are slow at first, but then begin to pick up speed as they tactically surround Fenrir leaving him no room to rush Delmar. As the first shadow fiend approaches getting ready to swing it's sword at him, Fenrir casually sidesteps the attack. within seconds, the rest are upon him swinging their swords at him with no avail. 'This is too easy.' Fenrir thinks to himself as he keeps dodging the attacks. 'It's likely Delmar is using them as a distraction to catch me off guard. He'll try to attack me from long range when he sees an opening.'Almost on cue, Delmar fires his black star attack directly at Fenrir disregarding the safety of his shadow army. The attack is hard to see since
