I finally turned off my alarm at five o'clock and got out of bed to perform my morning routine. After that, I got dressed and started making breakfast downstairs.
Everyone, except me, will wake up early to prepare for work or school. Talking about school, I had to learn independently because I was not permitted to attend school. Whenever I had the chance, I would visit the library and read books to educate myself.
If you are curious, I had to teach myself how to read. Living among those who regarded you with hatred and loathing was difficult but, I managed.
My room was far from everyone else in the attic. Even if it wasn't much, it was all mine. Regarding clothing, I would hurry through everyone's trash and snag any discarded garments.
Yes, my life was beautiful.
That was said in sarcasm.
I prepared toast, eggs, and bacon for everyone. I never complained even though sometimes there wasn't much left to eat.
One of the kids who stayed at the pack home, Elena yelled.
"Clean that up."
She had purposefully spilled some juice on the ground. I picked up a mop and wiped the mess away. She then started spilling in another place. I cleaned things up and I don't dare to complain at this point.
If you didn't already guess, she was incredibly popular and cruel. She consistently achieved her goals. She was the same way to everyone; it wasn't just me doing it. She believed she was entitled to these benefits because she was dating the alpha's son.
She threw the drink at me.
"Pathetic." She muttered.
Do you know what I did after that?
I cleaned up the mess without grumbling. I didn't want to change until I cleaned the kitchen, even though my clothes were now sticking to me.
I cleaned up and retired to my room after everyone had finished breakfast. I quickly showered before changing into old, baggy jeans, a shirt, and worn-out sneakers I made my way to the library with my cross bun of dark brown hair that hung down to my hips.
I sat in the library's rear section, away from everyone's prying eyes. I picked up a book and started to read. Sometimes, this was how my day went. Until I heard a chair scrape across the floor in front of me, I sat motionless away from everyone. I looked up, then quickly returned my gaze to the book I was reading.
My brother's close friend, Ray was standing in front of me. Since I can remember, I've had a crush on him. He had silver eyes, a straight nose, a square jawline, and sandy blonde hair. Girls flocked to him all the time because he was so attractive. I pretended to read while attempting to hold back the flush trying to emerge.
"What are you reading?" He asked.
I looked up and around to check with whom he was conversing.
He laughed again and said,"Yeah, I'm talking to you."
"Shakespeare," I mumbled.
"Cool"
He replied, leaning forward and laying his palms on the table."So I heard that tomorrow is your birthday."
I stumbled, a little startled by the proximity and the fact that he was speaking to me.
"What are your plans for tomorrow, then?"
"No-nothing" I stuttered.
He proposed, "How about I take you out on a date?"
I blushed and pushed back a few stray hairs behind my ear, saying,
"I don't know."
"Go ahead. Go out with me," Ray grinned, looking at me."Sure" I mumbled,
I heard someone laughing and turned to the person. I focused on the source and observed a person holding a phone and several of his friends looking at the phone he was holding, and they were all laughing out loud.
Immediately, I raised my head and saw Ray pretending to be laughing from the inside.
To him, it felt like a big joke; I was a joke by them all.
It was just written all over his face.
"Can you imagine me going out with such a loser like you?"
He said with a smirk, mocking me.
I quietly picked up my stuff with tears rolling out of my eyes, rushing out of the library. I felt humiliated. Their laughter got louder as I ran out.Chapter Three

*Trigger Warning* From Marina Happy Birthday to me, I mockingly wished myself. My Birthday was not a joyous occasion. Another reminder that I got to live and my mother didn't serve its purpose. I had nobody with whom to celebrate. I had no family or friends. I was just a girl living in a park, surrounded by strangers who had no interest in me. My life was miserable and pitiful. My life was in such a shambles. I felt hollow and lifeless inside as if nothing was left for me. He treated me like a loser when I thought I had finally found someone to love me. I was so damaged. I've occasionally thought that I don't deserve to be alive. If Natasha were here, my mother would reassure me that it wasn't my fault. It never seemed to help me feel any less guilty, no matter how many times I tried to tell myself that it wasn't my responsibility because I wasn't the one who killed her. I shrugged off my melancholy ideas and focused on something upbeat.I took a look around the painful area
I tapped my fingers nervously against my thighs as I sat in my room. Now that night had fallen, I had to get out before they carried out their plan. I stood up and put on an enormous hoodie. I zipped up the hood and picked up my backpack. I kept my head down as I moved through the hallways because I didn't want anyone to recognize me. I didn't want to risk anything. Anywhere maybe Ray and his friends. Nobody would oppose their attempt to forcibly remove me because no one gave a damn about the loser or the lonesome. They didn't even bother to blink an eye toward me. Without anyone noticing, I snuck out of the door. I heard someone conversing not too far from where I was as I walked farther down the path to enter the woods. I crept behind a tree to see who was there and peered out.Why is he taking so long? I overheard a hurried voice say, followed by a puff of smoke from the speaker. Who knows? A different voice responded. Ray. With his buddies, he was present. I then heard
Marina's POV "What?" As his words began registering in my brain, I queried after emerging from my stupor. "I'm not mine. Get the hell away from me, pervert. I replied as I pushed him away from me. He seemed upset by this, as he quickly pinned my hands above my head. He said once more after casting me an evil glance. "You belong to me! No matter how you feel about it. Mate. "He grumbled with irritation. As soon as he said the word "mate," I froze. Was he my partner? Was I his girlfriend? It was now beginning to make sense. I was aware of the familiarity in him as well as the warmth and security I had in his embrace. His odor was both seductive and addictive. He had a little vanilla scent and the smell of the woods. The sparks that flew up my arms as he was holding me should be enough evidence if his scent and comfort weren't. As a shiver ran up my spine, I had a warm, tingling sensation in the pit of my stomach. My mind was filled with a voice that kept repeating the wo
I let up a little when I realized he wasn't taking me back to my pack. But eventually, it became clear. I kept thinking , "I never want to go back to that pack," While I dealt with the rejection and shame. North Pack. The world's most potent pack, to be exact. The pack's leader was rumoured to be ruthless and heartless. Trespassers on his property were promptly laid to death. I wasn't ready to be his next victim because I had heard all the stories about how many people he had murdered. Nobody outside of his group is aware of his appearance. I heard that he liked to keep his appearance a secret whenever he left his pack. I don't have my sights set on his as, well. "Just let me out, please. I didn't mean to trespass; I wasn't trying to cause any issues. Don't take me to your alpha, please. I cried out, "I don't want to die. When the word "alpha" was mentioned, he momentarily became stiff but soon became comfortable. Please. Marina replied, her voice filled with dread and a deep
Marina's POV II remained in the room. My asshole of a friend had abandoned me. I got to my feet and looked around because I had nothing else to do. The room appeared to belong to a friend, and if the stench was any indication, it was his room. I could only make out the shades of grey and black. The color was not at all his thing. His place was so gloomy like it lacked any personal touches. Just a few touches of paintings were added after he had everything he required. Even though this room may have seemed gloomy, it was nothing compared to how sad my "chamber" actually was. It was the most luxurious room I've ever had the pleasure of inhabiting that didn't require cleaning. When I heard a voice say, "Hello," I turned to face the entryway. It wasn't until now that I noticed someone had entered the room. A girl with dark curly hair and caramel skin was standing in the doorway. She was probably 5'4" tall. She had pouty lips, a straight nose, and honey-brown eyes. She was l
Sophia reprimanded Luna, saying, "Luna, you know you shouldn't talk that way to Marina." I can do anything I want, she said. Snapped. Luna stood up from the stool she was seated on and approached me. As a predator would do to its prey, she surrounded me.Luna spits out "Pathetic human" in disdain. I muttered, "I'm not a human. "And what was that? I had trouble understanding it, "She remarked with a sly grinI declared that I was not a human. Right, she said stutteringly. "He is not what you deserve! Do. You are pitiful and feeble. You can never satisfy him as much as I can, "Luna murmured. My heart felt like it broke into a million pieces at hearing her words. She had slept with Alpha Ryan. And here I was, saving myself for a partner who couldn't maintain her underwear. I woke up with wrath; I've never felt so angry. I suddenly turned around and threw her to the ground, as if something had taken control of me. I jumped on top of her and punched her repeatedly. She was prese
Marina's POV I tried to get everyone away from me by saying, "I need some space, " so I could treat the youngster. As they moved away from me, I checked the youngster to see how seriously hurt he was. I gasped in horror as I observed the child's features. On his hip's left side, there was a terrible bite. Even a piece of flesh was missing from there. I quickly sprung into action, covering his wound with both hands while inhaling deeply. I tried to concentrate on mending the boy while I closed my eyes. My hands felt warm and tingly as my flesh burnt, but not in a way that hurt. When I opened my eyes, I saw the youngster illuminated by a yellow glow from beneath my hands. As the power poured from me into the boy, I could see the swirls of gold in my palms as I looked down. I looked at the boy's skin and noticed the wound was gradually healing. It was effective. At the same time, I was shocked and amazed. Since I haven't cured someone since I was six years old, I wasn't sure if it
"You are an angel with both good and bad qualities. Every hundred years, angels just like you are born. Your mission is to spread peace throughout the world. You appear to be a very pure being based on what I've observed, yet at the same time, darkness is engulfing you. Never give in to your evil side since doing so could mean the end of all life as we know it "She spoke. "An angel?" I questioned in a daze. "Yes. That is why your wolf is white; it symbolizes your angelic side. In the entire planet, you are the sole white wolf." I muttered. "I've never seen my wolf. "Oh. Allow me to assist you with that "She grinned again as she moved forward. My head began to speak after she touched my forehead. My wolf was there. "Now keep in mind Marina, you are no longer with that nasty gang of undesirables. You shouldn't hold yourself responsible for your mother's passing. The sooner you realize this, the more control you'll have over your abilities. I'm wishing you success "She hugged me b
