Chapter Twenty

Gustavo already knew what the meeting was all about, so he decided he was going to play along.

Gustavo walked down the stairs majestically, not minding that his parents and Amelia’s parents were waiting for him. When he got to the living room they were all seated discussing politics amongst themselves.

He first greeted Amelia’s parents before he greeted his parents, it was a sign of respect to greet your visitors first before greeting their relatives.

“Good morning Gustavo,” Mr. Felix Delgado said as he responded to Gustavo’s greetings.

“You just keep growing taller, taller and taller but I love it as it makes you grow into a handsome man”, Mrs. Martha Delgado chipped in.

Gustavo decided not to be disrespectful to Amelia in front of their parents, so he went where Amelia was seated beside Toria, Gustavo bent over to kiss her on the forehead and whispered some words to her which made her smile and blush.

“Oh look at that, aren’t they lovely? Mrs. Martha Delgado said as she clasped her
