Chapter Twenty-One

Three months passed and Sofia had adjusted to working at the Glitzy clubhouse. Ava still made everything complicated for her but Sofia refused to be bullied by her.

Ella-Rose and Lilian were always there to support Sofia and help her out where she found things difficult.

One pleasant evening, Sofia and the rest of the workers had come to work like they normally do but they heard some noise from the bar.

“They are at it again, that’s how toxic they are,” a young man from across the bar said.

“What is going on?” Sofia said asking no one in particular.

She made her way into the small crowd of people clustered at the bar trying to get a glimpse of what was happening.

“James?” Sofia called out not sure if she was right about who she saw.
