Chapter 44

I’ve been driving for around six hours and the beacon in my chest is getting stronger every mile I make it so I know I am getting close. I wonder if I will have any issues getting in the territory. I have been gone a month and from what Briar told me they found someone else. I wonder if anyone else knows about her yet.

I don’t realize how close I am to the territory until I see wolves running next to me in the woods. I slow down the car before going around a curve and slamming on the breaks so I don’t hit the heavy metal gates that are closed. A wolf steps out and shift to their human form. I recognize him as a warrior but I don’t know his name. He puts on a pair of shorts and walks to the driver side window. I roll it down when he gets closer and he stops short.

“I’m sorry Luna. I didn’t know you left the pack house.” He says shocked. “Since we have been on lock down no one was suppose to be let out.”

“I just need a quick break and a run in to town.” I said

this is getting weird. not at all like a ending for the story.. write down a sequel if u don't want to end it in this book. all suspense is their hanging in air for what? for readers to think? that's no way to work
