CHAPTER FOUR

Royce POV

Though I loved Sharon at first sight, I had decided to accept her because they were still the same and the moon goddess had chosen her as my mate first before Sharon.

But my heart was still reaching out to Sharon and sometimes, I felt like I had made a terrible choice. Like I had chosen the devil over a scent.

"But how can Shannon even be the devil?" I thought in my head. Sharon had always been the one acting difficult like some sort of viper but Shannon had shown me care and love and she was open and lovable.

"I have certainly not made any wrong choice." I thought again in my head. Shannon was the right person and not Sharon and I was soon going to get over my feelings for her and never even knew that she ever existed at some point in my life.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Shannon Inquired with a smile hanging on her face, snapping me off my thoughts.

"Sorry dear, I was lost in thoughts."I returned swiftly.

"It's alright. So what do you say." She inquired, bringing me back to the question that she just asked me... I thought about the words in my head. I see anybody that day because I had a really important meeting to attend.

I stared into her eyes before saying what I wanted to do next. "I would have loved to but I have an important meeting to attend right now," I said to her and I noticed that a slight sigh escaped from her mouth.

"Okay, if you say so." She returned.

I pulled away from her quickly and walked towards the bathrooms...I took my bath as soon as I could and stepped into my royal robe.

.

I had to get to my pack as soon as I could because I had something really important to attend to there. *Please get the carriage ready." I announced to the carriage rider and he bowed before me.

"What!" I heard a sudden exclamation from behind making me turn around slowly and my eyes met with Shannon.

I could see tears running down her eyes as she shot a stare at me. "What!" She exclaimed again. "You are going back to your pack?" She inquired and from the looks on her face, I could tell that she was broken to her bones.

"It's not what you are thinking." I returned quickly. "I have seen how the pack is faring." I tried to explain to her but she would not listen to a word that I had to say as fresh tears poured down slowly from her eyes.

"And why don't you just spit out the Truth? You are running away aren't you?" She inquired and I came over to her. "Certainly not, I will be back today," I said to her and kissed her on her forehead.

I turned around to leave swiftly because I was already running late for a very crucial meeting that was going to determine the status of my pack.

I got into the carriage quickly and in a few hours, we were at the pack house and I was Welcomed by the chief warrior of the pack who had always been waiting for my arrival.

"Good day my Alpha." He greeted me with a slight bow and I shot a stare at him. He knew for sure that his greetings weren't what I was looking for, I wanted to Know the status of the pack warriors, how ready and prepared they were for war, and he saw it in my eyes.

"The pack warriors are fully prepared for anything and we have been training hard for days, nothing can go wrong now." He explained.

But his words made me so angry that I had to clutch my hands and clip my lips to the roof of my mouth to control my rising anger. "And this is exactly what you told me the last time we tried to attack a pack and I lost almost half of my warriors," I growled at him with hate and anger written all over my face and bowed his head slightly.

"I am sorry Alpha Royce. I will try my best this time to make sure that there is no mistake." He said but his words only made me angry. "I don't need your best, I just need you to make sure that nothing goes wrong." I shot at him and I turned around to leave for the training ground at the center of the pack house.

When I got there I saw the warriors training hard and a broad smile hovered on my lips.

Nothing could go wrong now. I had always had my eye on that blue moon pack and we were only surveying the pack in the disguise that we were searching for a rogue and this time, we were going to have it.

A smile hovered on my lips as I thought about sitting down on the throne of that pack with their Alpha as my stool. It would be the most satisfying thing ever and I was not good to spy on any life in the pack, except for slaves and young she wolves only.

"Halt." The chief warrior yelled at them and they all bowed before me. " Long live the Alpha of the credit pack." They said with a loud cry. I stared at all of them as the air around me seemed to go slower.

"I hope you all know what we are in for. We are attacking one of the strongest Alphas of our time and you all have to be at your best fighting skills." I announced with a loud cry.

"Any little mistake could lead to our defeat and I promise you all good and slivers if we can get this Victory." I ended while they continued to scream. I turned over to the pack chief warrior.

"Remember, it is a total elimination," I said to him with a thick frown hanging on my face.

"Okay, Alpha Royce." He returned but I could see that there was a question that he was longing to ask but was afraid to say it.

"And what is bothering you?" I inquired quickly.

"What about the wolf you went to the pack to visit?" I inquired. "Are we also eliminating her and her family?" He inquired and my face squeezed with hate and anger.

My quest for power and fame was just like a grain of sand thrown into an ocean compared to that of love. "What do I need love for? I was the cruel Alpha and I could get anyone that I wanted with just a snap of my fingers.

"We are eliminating everyone and When I said everyone, I meant ever..yon..e.." I growled.
