CHAPTER TWO

Royce POV

A rogue had attacked the pack once again and we had to trace it. I had my team trace it to the blue moon pack and had taken permission to search for it from the Alpha of the Blue moon pack.

Streams of sweat were already dropping from the Corner of my eyes but I could not stop until we found that beast.

"We have to keep going guys, we must allow that beast gto o scout free after all the atrocities that it has already committed," I announced to them while we continued searching.

We searched until we were tired of searching and the sun was already high up in the hair. I saw the chief warrior of the pack walking over to me and he bowed slightly before me.

"What is it?" I shot a deadly form at him. "The warriors, they need to find something to drink." He said to me.

My face twisted with hate and anger. They were such weaklings. I shot a stare at the tired warriors and back at him.

"There is a stream a few walks away, we should go for that," I announced and we began to walk to the stream.

But when we got to the stream, we met with a beautiful sight that made my heart skip a lot of beats. She was such a beauty, radiating like the sun.

I was sure that she came to the stream to get water and I sent one of the guards to get the water from her quickly and I shot a smile at her.

"Our Alpha sent us." I heard the guard telling her but she shot a stare at him and back at me and it seemed as though my heart was going to stop beating.

"Hmm don't worry, I can handle it myself. Thanks anyway." She returned. "But.." But before I could spit out the word in my mouth, she had already taken the pile of water, balanced it on her head and she was already gone.

I felt disappointed and my heart sank but I could not take my mind away from her. "I can't give up on her just like that," I said to myself and began to briskly after her.

And thanks to my stars, she had not gone too far. I stopped her immediately in her tracks and she shot a what do you want kind of stare.

I could feel my heart beating hard against my chest and I shivered with excitement. I kept staring into her eyes lost in my fantasies.

"You stopped me?" She said slowly snapping me off my thoughts. I was embarrassed for staring at her for such a long time.

"I'm sorry for that my lady." I returned to her and for the first time since we met, I noticed a smile hanging on her face and it gladdened my heart.

"Your Lady? We just met and I am already your lady?" She shot a stare at me as the smile that was once hanging on her face disappeared quickly.

My heart was racing as I continued to stare into her eyes. "It's called love at first sight." I shot a smile at her but she didn't return the smile. "It isn't love at first sight, it's only an infatuation and I don't do love at first sight or whatever it's called. I will wait patiently for my mate, which you are not." She returned and began to walk away.

"At least tell me your name," I yelled after her from behind. "I am Sharon," she returned to me and she was gone.

I was heartbroken and I couldn't focus. I sent out two guards to see who she was and they went after her and returned with the news of who she was, her parents and her background, and the only fact that she was the only child of her parents.

After searching for some days and we could not find the rogue wolf, we went back to the pack but throughout this time, I couldn't get my heart away from her.

My heart was beating hard against my chest as though it was going to burst through. I could no longer stand it, I could not eat until I decided to see her once again.

That morning, I got into the carriage and went to her home. I knocked on the door and she came to me and shot a smile at me that warmed my heart.

"Good day. " I greeted them with a smile hanging on my face but it seemed as though she didn't even know me.

"We met at the pack stream the other day, ever since, I couldn't take my mind off you," I announced to her and her eyes brightened.

"Oh, I remember you." She said to me and pulled me inside. There was something wrong and different about me but I just couldn't lay my hands on it. She seemed so different and easygoing from the first day that we met. She was playing hard to get.

I stared into her eyes and they were different. But then, I shook the thought off my head quickly. She was the one, who else could it be?" I thought in my head.

She took me to her parents and we exchanged pleasantries and I was assigned to a room. I stayed there for days, getting to know her slowly.

But one dark morning, I heard screams from outside and I was really confused. "What could be happening out there?" I thought in my head confused.

I got up from bed quickly and went outside only to find a shocking sight. "They were two?" I thought in my head confused. I stared at the two of them quickly robbing my eyes.

"Was this a dream or was hallucinating again? What could be happening here?" I yelled in my head confused while I continued to stare at them.

They were the same. "This can't be true, my eyes were deceiving me." I thought in my head.

"So you came again?" She shot at me with a frown again on my face. That was the one that I knew, the one that was always playing hard to get. She was the one that I met that day.

I could feel my heart beating hard against my chest as though it was going to burst through and I could feel my anger rising so badly that I had to clutch my hands to control Rising anger.

"Meet my sister, Sharon, she just came back from a journey to see a sick aunt," Shannon announced with a smile hanging on her face but it only made my face twist with hate and anger.

That was the name, I clearly remember it now. "You deceived me all this while, you weren't the real one and you're not the one that I saw that day but why did you lie?" I inquired with a frown hanging on my face.

"Lie? I thought you were the one that came saying that you saw me going to the stream which I did and you liked me." She returned quickly with a worried Look on her face.

She wasn't the one that I had fallen in love with that day, I had always felt it. It was all a deception. "What's happening here?" Sharon inquired quickly with a confused look on her face.

Then, I began to perceive the scent of cologne mixed with ginger. So sweet that I forgot all my anger and sorrows and I continued sniffing the air.

"What could this be?" I thought in my head confused.

"Mate! Mate!" My wolf exclaimed inside of me as I stared into Sharon's Confused her and my lips trembled to say the word.
