Chp 3 Pt. 2 The Stranger

The light is blinding and my head is pounding as if a hammer is beating me from the inside. I sit up and find my shoulder has completely healed. The first thing that comes to mind is Hunter.

“Thank goodness you are awake.”

I look to my left to see my father smiling at me with my mother next to him.

“Ugh…my head is killing me.”

“You mind telling me what happened? When I found you you were unconscious with dead rogues surrounding you. Did you use one of your powers?”

I contemplate whether or not I should tell father about the lycan that saved me. He does not like lycans and may try to track Hunter down and kill him. I don’t want that to happen, especially when there is more to learn about the lycans and this may be our chance to become allies rather than enemies.

“I am not sure, I don’t really remember.”
