As usual my parents told me nothing except that it is not safe for me to be leaving pack territory without my guards. I asked my father about wolves being able to mask their scent and he told me nothing, saying it was nothing I needed to worry about. I have a feeling it somehow involves witches and wizards.

“If you think any harder you are gonna get wrinkles and a headache,” teases Kai.

“Kai am I in any sort of danger?”

“We are part angel Kat, we’ll always be in danger.”

“That’s not an answer Kai. What do you know?”

“What I can tell you is that those who killed our maternal grandparents and hurt mom are after you too. You need to be more careful.”

“Who killed mom’s parents? Who hurt mom?”

“Dad ordered me not to say anything. I can’t Kat.”

“A coven is involved aren’t they?”

“I can’t say Kat.”

“That means I am right.”
