Chapter 7

After we finished our breakfast I got ready for work. I was tired for sure staying up all night waiting for Ami.

But I left the house after saying goodbye to her as she was getting ready to sleep and went into my car and drove off

On my way to work I drive to a coffee store and quickly order myself a hot cup of coffee. I walked out of the cafe and took a sip of it before driving to work.

Like always work felt like 100 years, constantly doing paper work with barely any breaks, and if I was on break I'd constantly be flirted on by one of my coworkers.

"Hey~" He said as I peacefully drank water in the lounge room, sitting down beside me.

"Go away Jae." I look away from him but he moves closer to me.

"Don't need to be so mean to me." He puts his hand around my shoulder but I quickly push it off.

"Go away before I break your arm okay?"

"Chill girl! I just want to talk!"

"Don't call me girl." I stand up "I don't like you and I never will." I left the room and went back to my office. He does this to me everytime, I could never rest in peace at work because of him.

The rest of the day I worked till dark and when I checked the time 11:00pm,Iwasfinished. I shutdownmy computer and packed all the paper I had on my desk. Putting my jacket on and left the building.

I drove back home and once I opened the door Ami wasn't on the couch, she wasn't even in the house. I got worried again, not because of her getting hurt but someone else getting hurt. She could be killing someone right now.

I went back outside to take a look in the woods in case she was there. But all I found was the clothes she was wearing in the bush. I was left with so many questions. Why did she take off her clothes, why did she leave naked, why put them in the bushes, where and what is she doing out in the woods naked?

I walk back into the house and keep the door unlocked. With the clothes I fold them, putting them on the couch for when she comes back. I went to my room to watch some videos.

A few minutes later I heard the door open downstairs, I knew it was Ami so I walk downstairs to see her. There was no blood on her there was nothing wrong with her other than she had no clothes.

"Hey." I say to her, leaning on the wall looking at her.

"Hey." She said back, putting on the clothes.

"Can you tell me what you are doing out there? You have left at night and yesterday you came back with blood all over you. I'm worried about you." I sit down on the couch and pat the seat beside me.

She sat down beside me, "Just walking around." She said quietly, playing with her fingers.

"Just walking around the forest naked? Just tell me what you are doing."

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Why not just tell me-"

"Just leave me alone!" She suddenly stands up, surprising me. She walks into the washroom and locks the door.

I stand up and knock on the door where she is. "Ami come out here! I just want to talk!"

"No!" She yells back at me, she was acting like a child.

"You can't stay in there forever!" There was silence after that. No noise at all. "I'm sorry." I say calmly and sit down by the door.

There was still silence but I could hear her breathing. "Please say something, I'm sorry ok." I looked down at the carpeted floor. "I just want to know." my eyes watered, then I cried. The tears falling to the ground.

I guess she heard me crying because she opened the washroom door and hugged me from behind.

"Sorry." She said quietly while hugging me. She was warm and I felt comfortable. I hugged her back, we were both sitting on the floor hugging each other and I didn't look at her but I can feel that she is truly sorry.

I felt my eyes slowly close, drifting to sleep as she hugged me and within seconds I fell asleep.

I woke up to myself in bed with a blanket on me but not just that, Ami was with me, hugging my waist still sleeping. She must have taken me to bed when I fell asleep and decided to continue to hug me.

I slowly tried to move her arm off of me but her grip tightened around me, making it harder for me to leave. She was still asleep, I guess by sleeping with that pillow it made her gain a habit of holding tightly when sleeping.

I couldn't remove her arms off of me, I had to wake her up. I lightly shook her arm but nothing happened, so I shook alittle harder.Still nothing happened. So lastly I shake her body and she jumps up.

"Don't touch me!" She screams as she wakes up. I guess she had a nightmare.

She looks around the room in confusion then turning to me, and jumping again. "Oh sorry, I didn't mean to sleep with you I-"

"It's fine." I cut her off and I got off the bed. She joins me as I walk downstairs and into the kitchen, making breakfast.

As I cook she stands beside me, interested in what I was doing.

"Can you make bacon again?" She asks quietly like a child.

"Of course I can." I went to the fridge and grabbed the bacon, putting some oil on the pan then turning the stove on.

Ami jumps suddenly, "H-how did you do that?"

"Do what?" I asked her.

"That," She points to the stove and it's fire. "How did you make fire from turning that knob?"

Is she serious? Has she never seen a stove before? Well she has been living alone her whole life, but how does she live without seeing a stove?

"Are you joking?" She shakes her head. I sigh, "Well all you need to know is that if you turn this," I point at the knobs, "Then fire will show up." I turn another knob to turn another element on.

A fire appears and Ami jumps again, then moving her face closer to the fire in amusement.

I grab her shoulder and pull her back, "Hey don't burn yourself."

"I know, I'm not stupid." She then sits down at the dining table and I turn the element off, continuing to cook breakfast.
