Good thing she wasn't holding me again, I didn't want to wake her up. I slowly got off the bed and went into the downstairs bathroom.
Before I knew it, I looked at my watch and I only had 30 minutes till my shift and that's notenough timeforme to eat and drive there.
So I wrote on a piece of paper and left it on the dining table and drove to work.
Ami POV
My eyes slowly opened from the sunlight hitting my eyes. I barely got any sleep but that was fine.
I walked downstairs and into the kitchen but Nami wasn't there cooking breakfast. I looked around and on the dining table was a piece of paper. I looked at it closer and Nami wrote something on it.
Ami Pov
Sorry I couldn't cook breakfast for you. I was gonna be late for work. So if you cook your own breakfast be free to use any of the food in the kitchen.
Bye!
Hmmm. I looked around the kitchen after putting the note down. I looked in the fridge and saw pieces of bacon, I grabbed them and looked through the cabinets for a pan.
I place 10 pieces of bacon on the pan and place it on the stove. I never used the stove but I saw Nami turn a knob which made fire to cook the bacon. I looked at the knob and saw numbers on them from 1 to 10.
I didn't know what those numbers meant, maybe a timer? I turned the knob to 10 and watched as the fire appeared and started to cook.
Since I turned the fire knob clock thingy to 10 that means it should be finished in 10 minutes. So I left the kitchen and went to the living room.
I saw Nami looking at a moving picture here and I looked at it. Nothing was showing, the picture was black. I looked around and went up to the picture and smacked it a bunch of times but it still didn't do anything.
I turned around and saw a black rectangle with a bunch of buttons on it, then I remembered Nami used that to turn the picture on.
I grabbed it and plopped onto the couch, looking at all of the buttons and seeing a red button with the word on. I pressed it and the picture turned on and it started to show something. I jumped at the sight but I finally got it to work.
Nami POV
It was an hour into work when my stomach was growling non stop. Idecidedto take mybreaknowand eat some of the snacks in the breakroom.
As I walked there I was greeted by none other than Jae. He was sitting on one of the sofas and he smiled at me.
I rolled my eyes at him and walked quickly past him and to the snack table. I grabbed an apple and before I could take a bite I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I sigh, "Jae can I just have one day where you aren't breathing down my neck!" I turn around and glare at him.
"You can have that day when we get married." He creepily smiles at me and in response I slap him in the face.
He looks at me while holding his now red cheek. "Just walt, I always get what I want." He then leaves the room, slamming the door.
At least I get to rest now, I took a bite out of my apple and sat down on the sofa, browsing on my phone.
I wonder how Ami is doing ...
Ami POV
After a few minutes of watching a robot fall in love with a human inthe moving picture I decided to checkon the bacon.
I walked into the kitchen and saw the stove on fire, engulfing the pan and bacon. Is the stove broken?
I turned the knob to 0 but the fire was still there. Now I was scared, I didn't want the house to burn down Nami would kill me!
I looked around for something to stop the fire and my eyes landed on the sink, I filled a cup with water and poured it onthe fire. But all it did was make the fire bigger. I was sweating from the heat.
I looked around the kitchen again and saw a bright red object. On it were the words Fire extinguisher. I looked at the pictures and it showed how to get rid of thefire.
I picked the metal object up and followed the instructions, pulling the pin, aiming the cone thing at the fire then pulling the trigger. White stuff started spitting out of the object and went onto the fire. From all of the pressure of the fluff coming out it pushes me back, making me fall to the ground.
I got back up and continued to spray the fluff on the fire. In a few seconds the fire disappears and all that's left was the fluff. I knew this was gonna be hard to clean up, Nami must not know any of this happened.
-Timeskip-
After hours I finally got rid of all of the white fluff, and I even tried tasting it. Biggest regret ever.
But I looked outside and it was night time and I haven't eaten anything at all the whole day except the fluff and a bit of the black bacon.
I'll get food my way, the way I'm used to where there's no fire. I took off my clothes and folded them, placing them on the couch then going outside and into the dark forest.
Nami POV
My work shift ends and I quickly pack up, unable to stay here any longer I go to my car.
I get inside and turn the car on, but a light shows up on the dashboard that my tires were low. I got out of the car and looked at them, all of the tires were slashed with a knife, I assume. All of them deflated I wasn't able to drive home:
I didn't know who did it but it's fine. I pulled out my phone and called a tow truck to pick it up. They said they would do it tomorrow morning and that was fine with me.
I left my car in the parking lot and walked to the closest bus stop. I waited a few minutes before the bus arrived. I got in and paid for my ride and sat down.
As the bus drove I looked outside through the windows, it was night time and Ami was still alone probably outside again.
Since my house was far away everyone who was on the bus got off before it arrived at a bus stop near the house. But I still had to walk a few minutes to the house.
There were barely any street lights lighting up the sidewalk I was on so it made it hard to see at night but that was fine.
A minute of walking I realized that someone was walking behind me, it could be just someone going in the same direction as me but I was still suspicious.
Now 2 minutes of walking, what used to be stores and houses beside the sidewalk are now tall trees and bushes. The person was still following me but what scares me more was the constant rustling in the bushes near me as I walked. It was like something was following me in the bushes as well.
That's when I started to freak out, the person behind me and the person in the bushes could be working together to get me. I walked faster, the person behind me walked faster as well as the rustling in the bushes.
Then I ran, I ran as fast as I could. The rustling stopped but the person behind me was running after me. They were wearing a black hoodie and their hood was on, making me unable to see their face.
I continued to run but the person was still running, they slowly were catching up to be since they were faster. What felt like a second the person was right behind me, tackling me to the ground.
They turn me on my back and I face them. "Jae?" He takes off his hood and I see his usual smirk.
"Hey baby." He smiles, holding me down so I couldn't get up.
"Get off of me!" I yell, struggling to get out of his grip. He was much stronger than me.
"I said you would be mine, you just chose the hard way." He then pulls out a knife and my eyes widen.
"Let me court you or else." He puts the knife to my neck, any movement the knife will cut me.
I hear the bushes rustle beside me and without turning my head I look at the bushes. "Let me go!" I yell at him.
"Love me then!" He yells back at me.
"Never!"
He pulls the knife off my neck but then he holds it high, about to thrust it down at my chest. My eyes water, hoping he doesn't stab me, that this is all a dream.
Beside me I hear more rustling in the bushes, gaining the attention of Jae and I. We turn our heads towards the bush and out of nowhere a wolf jumps out the bush, tackling Jae to the ground.
The wolf starts to claw at him, scratching his body multiple times. He screams loudly, calling out for help. As he was being attacked I started crawling backwards, unable to stand up from fear.
I crawled backwards as fast as I could, keeping my eyes on the wolf who was mauling Jae. After a minute the wolf stops, Jae lays there still, his blood all over the sidewalk. I wasn't sure if he was still alive.
I stayed still, not moving a single bit. I was scared for my life, I thought I would be next. The wolf kept staring at Jae's body, sniffing it, then turning it's head to me.
Our eyes met and my heart dropped. This was the end for me. The wolf slowly walked towards me, I crawled backwards but I could barely move from fear.
As the wolf got closer I got to see it's features more. It's fur was white at the bottom but on the top it transitions to a gray with some black in it and it's eyes were a dark yellow.
The wolf was right in front of me, I could feel it's breath brushing against my face. I was gonna die. This is it.
It looked at me for a few seconds but for me it felt like hours. It then sniffs me before running back into the forest, leaving me without a scratch.
After that wolf leaves my sight I stand up, looking at Jae and calling the ambulance. But when I hang up the phone I leave him alone, running the rest of the way back home. He deserves it for everything he's done to me.
