Disagreement

Staring at my lips, he pulled closer. I swallowed hard as goosebumps covered my entire body, as though I were buried in an ice pool. Meanwhile, I could feel heat attacking me from the inside. I blinked a few times, not being able to maintain eye contact.

He pulled closer until there was absolutely no space between us, close enough that I could hear his heartbeat. I couldn't take it, so I pulled back, eventually laying on the couch.

"Shush… Ana, stay put." He whispered while keeping his finger on his bottom lip. He redrew his finger from his lip and trailed it along mine. This time around, my chest fell in and out as my mouth dropped open, struggling for enough breath.

He smiled, and I wondered what was funny." Was he mocking my reaction as he touched me?" I asked myself.

Slowly, he moved his finger and suddenly, he raised me off the couch onto the bed.

"I just tried to clean your mouth, why did you get all tense? Did the temperature in the room change?" He asked, smirking and lifting his dress from the couch. I couldn't answer, just endeavored to normalize my breathing.

"Well anyway, my t-shirt is stained, wash it, I will ask for it.  Goodnight.

He commanded, as bossy as ever, throwing the dress to my face and swaying out. " What the…" I managed to say.

Alexander's POV

After exercising, I walked to Ana's room and found her buried in a deep sleep. I sat beside her to take a closer look.

Her beautiful plum lips were pressed together, urging me to touch.

I exercised restraint, not wanting her to wake. I pulled a strand of hair from her face and she moaned, slowly opening her eyes.

"Good morning," I whispered.

She didn't respond, I guessed she was a little surprised to find me here.

"Do you intend on raping me?" She questioned, sitting straight.

"Is that the proper way to respond to a good morning? I questioned and strolled the glass wall to have a beautiful view of California when the warm morning sun hit it. "What exquisite scenery?" I said to myself as Ana interrupted.

"Alex? Why are you fond of answering a question with a question?"

"How was your night?" I snapped, asking another question.

"There you go again, not answering mine yet expecting his answer.

You were actually in my dream, giving me nightmares. You don't expect I'd have a good sleep, do you?"

"Were you thinking of me so much that I was in your dreams?" I turned, staring at her as she got out of bed, pouring herself a glass of water.

She snapped, asking a question.

"It's 9:30 am, are you not going to the office today?"

"No, I won't," I answered plainly.

"Why won't you?" She inquired with keen interest.

"None of your business, why do you even care?" I asked with a smirk.

"Why are you here, anyway?" I could see disappointment visibly drawn on her face, I just loved to make her that way. I smiled inwardly, swiveling my head sideways.

"Should I have a reason to be in my wife's room? You know, I've been thinking and decided we share the same bedroom, we are married after all?" I remarked, followed by a scowl.

"I know you are not here to see me, so tell me why you are here." She commented, sitting on the edge of the bed, with hands tugged to it.

"Do you second what I just said, wife? I questioned deliberately, making her feel uncomfortable.

She parted her lips, inhaled as she swallowed hard, and frustratingly passed hands through her hair.

"I doubt that it's the reason you're here, I have to get into the shower. I am listening, tell me. She commented, forcing a smile.

"Breakfast is ready, get up and come with me."

"Like this?" She holds out her nightdress.

"Ana,  what are you doing, still standing? Are you not changing?"

"Of course, I will but you don't suppose I do, while you are here,  can you excuse me?"

"Check your ring finger, what do you see?"

"Is anything wrong with it?" She questioned calmly.

"There's a wedding ring on your finger, what sense do you derive from it? You are my lawfully wedded wife, I can watch you anyhow, anywhere, at whichever time I please.

Hurry up, I am still waiting."

"Can you at least close your eyes?" She said shyly.

"I ain't doing that shit, get dressed or leave like this."

"You can't be serious. She replied."

"Never been this serious, I won't wait forever, be quick."

"All set." She said, wearing a black straight dress, that reached her knees.

"That's like a good girl, go first." She left and I followed behind…

I pulled the chair and she sat down.

"Make sure to eat everything on this plate, enjoy your meal. ''I said as I walked towards my study. She called to stop me.

"Alex? Are you not eating?"

"I am not hungry." I retorted.

"I want you to feed me." She said pouting like a child.

"Not today, I have a lot of things to do."

"Either you feed me or I don't eat," I said about standing up.

Don't be childish, sit and eat the food. I can't believe this, don't you care I have things to do?

"I never begged to be here, you brought me on your account." I raised my brows at her declaration, she was doing it intentionally. I nod and grin at motives.

"Is that so? I will feed you."

"No, I've changed my mind, don't worry. I will manage on my own, just wait while I eat."

"Anything for my highness. " I retorted sardonically.

"Done now, can I leave?" I left without her permission.

I was engrossed in work when a knock came at the door.

"Helena? You know I hate distractions when working, what do you want." I questioned without diverting my glance from the files.

"It's not Helena," Ana replied.

"What do you want?" I asked centralizing solely on my work.

"I am bored," She pouted.

"And so?" I asked, taken aback by what she said.

"And so…" She was about to speak when my phone buzzed. I checked and it was my mom calling.

I answered quickly "Shush," I said to Ana, waving to a chair behind my desk. She sat down, crossed her legs, and revealed her beautiful thighs.

"Was she seducing me?" If she is, then she's doing it right." I smiled at my thought.

"Son, are you there? My mom said as I realized I was on a call.

"I am mom, how are you? " I asked.

"I am fine. How is your wife?" She asked with her melodious voice. I squinted at her thighs, and glanced up at her, biting my lips seductively. She flinches nervously, rapidly covering herself.

"If you are busy, call me later."

"No mom, I am not, I just got distracted. My wife is very fine." I replied smiling at Ana, she circumvented her gaze instantly.

"Good! Hope you can make it to dinner tonight?"

"I don't know, I will call you later. My regards to dad and take care of yourself. I love you."

"I love you too"  She replied and I hung up.

"Mrs. Johnson, you were saying something about being bored. And so what?"

"And so, I want you to show me around."

"Around?"

"Oh come on, Alex? Don't pretend, you know very well what I mean, show me around the house."

Still, focusing on the laptop, I froze, this girl is incredible, really?

"What's with the sudden interest?"

"Well, I am bored, and that's the only amusing thing I can think of at the moment."

"We can do that another time, for now, I am busy, which you can see very well."

"What do you suggest, then?" She question

"I don't know, how about a swim?" I asked, not taking my eyes off the laptop.

"I am not interested."

"Fine, take a nap," I said, literally getting annoyed.

"I am not interested. Alex, can you look at me for once?"

"What will change if I look at you? I am busy, get that." I replied, taking a glance at her.

"Please…"

I hit the table hard, and she moved backward in fear. Anger took the best part of me.

"I said I am busy, so I need to work."

"Okay." She replied and flounced.

Immediately after the door closed, I received a call, the caller ID read Valeria.

"I am in your house, where are you?" I sighed, closing my eyes, and I replied.

"In the study."

"Expect me soon." She said and I placed the phone down.

"Can I come in?"

"You are already in. What do you want?"

"Something must have irritated Mr. Alexander Johnson? Your expression says it all. You don't have to be working all the time, take a break. Should I make your coffee?"

"I am okay. Turn around, you look beautiful, I like that dress."

"You do? Thanks. Mr. Johnson, something is going on you're not telling me, what is it? Valeria asked, swaying towards me.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Ever since I've met you, you never work from home, always at the office. You can tell everything, Alex?"

"There's nothing of that sort, don't think so," I said as she moved forward and yanked my chair backward to sit astride my lap.

"Well, I am here today, did you think I wouldn't?"

"Not even for once, Valeria." I retorted, looking into her eyes

She smashed her lips against mine, harsh but careful. Instead of stopping, I gave in. I sucked on her lower lip, wanting to bite it.

Her hands moved beneath my shirt, I quickly stopped her.

"I need to work, Valeria," I said with my hands wrapped around her waist.

"It can wait," she said as she continued devouring my lips, meanwhile, her hands moved to undo the buttons of my shirt. She places feather-like kisses across my jaw, chin, and the corners of my mouth.

She guided my hands to remove her blouse.

"Valeria?"

"Alex? Come on, please."

As I raised her onto the table, the door flung open and Ana entered.

"Holy shit," I cursed.

"Alex?" Ana called and Valeria tried putting on her dress.

"Who is she? Is she the reason for your change in attitude lately?" Valeria inquired, casting a glance at me

"Alex? Should I give her an answer? Don't worry, I would.

Look closely at my ring finger, do you see the wedding ring? No need to answer, I know you do. I am his lawfully wedded wife. I repeat, his wife. Therefore, I need you to get up from that table and leave now."

Leaning against the desk, I placed my hands in my pockets, adoring Ana's sudden bravery.

"Did you not hear me? Get up from there and leave my house with immediate effect. You are trying my patience, mistress. If I get any closer, you will choose the devil over me."

I watched as Valeria froze with shock. I must admit, I was shocked too. I never thought she could be this tough. Valeria didn't dare spit out any word, she looked angrily at me and left.

"Be warned, don't make me ever see you with my husband."

Valeria had left already.

"Wow, that was really amazing. Don't tell me you are jealous, don't you think that's too soon? Honestly, I am in awe of you." I remarked frankly.

"Is that the only thing you can manage to say?"

She asked with keen interest.

"Excuse me? You don't expect me to plead for your forgiveness, do you?"

"You should be ashamed of yourself."

"Ashamed of myself? Elaborate,  Ana." I whispered but loud enough for her to hear.

"You should be ashamed of nearly sleeping with another woman in your marital home."

"Is that the whole issue about being ashamed? Oh, Ana, my dear wife. Do you think any of this would have happened if you were not just laying claims on being my wife?"

"What does that mean?" She asked in confusion.

"Any of this wouldn't have happened if you did your duties as a wife, would it? Answer me."

I got a little closer and wrapped my hand around her waist. Deliberately, I started to kiss her on the neck, and she eventually pulled away.

"Leave me alone." She yelled, struggling to free herself.

"This is exactly what I am trying to prove. My wife has been trying her best to ignore me, and it's very ironic how she speaks of shame, who should be ashamed? Me trying to get emotionally satisfied with her?"

 I moved about, still speaking.

"Love? I can't be in a reverie, hoping something will change someday, I am not a very patient man. Perhaps, I can try being patient with you, but not anytime soon.

Would you also, if you were in place?"

"I married you yesterday, just yesterday, you are a total stranger to me,  do you think I go around sleeping with strangers?"

Tears ran down her cheeks as she spoke.

"Is there anything to cry about? Maybe she missed her family, or her ex-boyfriend, who knows?" I thought in confusion.

"Forget it, if that's what you brought me here for." She paused, probably in short of words. I looked at her with absolutely no emotion.

"Alex? Listen to this, I will never get jealous of that little slut who sleeps around with married men. And if you want to be sleeping around because I ignore you, it's very fine with me. What you do with your life doesn't concern me, after all, it's your problem."

She rolled eyes after she had finished w

her statement. As much as it angered me, I didn't get closer, I warned from afar.

"This should be the very last time you roll your eyes at me, Mrs. Johnson."

Without a word, she left.

"This is more difficult than I thought, I don't think I can handle her. Should I file for a divorce? I can't put up with all these anymore.

I will have to talk with my dad about it." I thought while looking out through the window. I let out a loud breath and sighed.

I called her Helena as I sat down.

Please make me coffee, Sam should come with it.

"Enter," I responded as someone knocked at the door.

"Sir, this is your coffee and you called for me," Sam said, leaving it on the table.

"Yeah, thank you. I want to ask you something, I don't know, maybe it's only me." Leaning into my chair and spinning it, I took several seconds to assemble my thoughts and spit them out.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

"Yes, I do." He answered honestly, looking outside of the window.

"But sir, why do you ask?"

"Come and take a seat, and tell me. Is she the only one, I mean, do you have just one girlfriend?"

"Yes, I do". Sam replied.

"Because you love her, isn't it?"

"That's right."

"You know what Sam, let's forget about what I wanted to say. Do you know why I married Adriana?
