Chapter 20 Way Out of Her League

Claire’s surroundings appeared dark as she had a cloth over her head; all she knew was that she was being led to a remote location. Her heart grew more and more anxious as time passed, and she desperately kicked the room door with her unbound legs. However, the door stayed closed.

After struggling for quite some time, she finally heard the door open and vaguely saw outlines of a few large men entering the room.

The cloth on her head was removed and she was immediately blinded by the sudden increase in brightness. Claire glared fiercely at the people before her once her eyes had gotten use to the light again.

“Let me go right now, Chantelle! I’ll make you pay if anything happens to Ollie!” she said, all while attempt to break free of her bonds; her face flushing from the effort.

“I think you should just wait here obediently for Javier to come rescue you. You both are husband and wife; surely he won’t forsake you if he cares about you, am I right?” Envy flashed across Chantelle’s eye
