Down

“Amora,” he whispered, feeling her fingers gently ran down his cheeks and up his chin.

He found it hard to breathe because he didn't expect this on that night. He had thought that she would still forget him and perhaps stayed away from him for a few months. It may never be limited until he observed the improvement of her memory.

But that night she had touched him! Nothing could be happier than that.

“Amora, do you remember me?” he whispered back, blowing his fragrant breath on her. Their faces were facing each other, foreheads touching. When she was barely away, he pulled her and lightly kissed her on the cheek. He insisted on doing just that until she said with her mouth that she had remembered him. He promised not to cross the line until the time came!

“Amora…” he whispered again, gently stroking all of her arms and resting on her curved waist. Surprisingly on that body part, it was still the same even though she looked thinner than he remembered. Did he remember her wrong?

Impossible! She was the single strongest memory he had, his woman.

“Amora, do you remember me? Do you remember when we first met? You saved me then. You…” His words stopped when she suddenly closed her eyes again and fell asleep. Her drooping head crouched in his warm embrace. Her gentle breath provided an impressive relaxing effect.

Liam who was surprised now suddenly chuckled to himself. The giggles grew louder but not loud enough to wake her.

Rubbing his forehead, he felt like a stupid man for the umpteenth time. And only she could do this to him.

Not only he felt that way, but also his wolf. "You know how troublesome it is to face an unexpected woman?" he whispered to it and then he heard a soft growl. "Let's go! She needs rest!”

So he released her slowly, laying her down with precision on the soft pillow. Indeed he felt unwilling the first time, especially his wolf, who wished to remain beside her for a longer time. But he always managed to find a reason and control it so that he still obeyed.

He got up after finishing lifting the blanket on her body. But before he left, she held his arm, making him flinch again. He turned to find her still closing her eyes as she spoke, “Stay here!”

His wolf shouted excitedly, "Mate!"

The debate between them was so intense that it almost made him snap. "You shouldn't be so stubborn just because you want to sleep with her!" he protested. "Just obey me as usual!"

But it couldn't be denied that he also wanted the same thing as it. When he found out about it, his wolf taunted him again.

Their argument stopped when she again whispered, "Please!"

Her closed eyes indicated that she was not fully conscious at this time. Maybe she was dreaming of meeting someone she knew and asking that person to stay and keep her company.

It was just that in his eyes and judgment, she completely wanted him. And this couldn’t be missed!

So, he jumped back up and sank under the blanket, pulling her in hugs and kisses. As he almost lost his inner control when he touched her warm body, her face sank and she hugged him tightly.

It was like being strangled by an angel who was very beautiful and smelled wonderful and he loved it. Not wanting to miss his chance, he returned her hug with similar strength.

The moon went through a waxing crescent phase. Its peeking light broke through the darkness of the clouds at night. The werewolves' strength was starting to rise at this time, waiting for the full moon phase to arrive. Then at that time, they would feel the instinct to do mating with each other's mate.

He couldn't wait for that moment to arrive. Maybe that way he could convince himself that she was Amora. But something was bothering him. “Will her memory affect her scent during the full moon? The people in the club say she is a human but I’m sure she is a werewolf. Why? What has happened?"

His mind wandered, maybe even across the moon itself, hit with all the realities he didn't understand along with some very strange mysteries. He was trying hard to decipher everything, but it was too early and he didn't have any information yet.

Meanwhile, Tony was still standing on the balcony, watching his wolf come back to him and hide behind his face. They communicated with mind link in silence, discussing each other in the middle of his still smoking.

He just came home after looking for a group of people who found Amora, at least once they got to know her, despite her still mysterious identity. And the guys said they bought her from a bunch of drug dealers who sold slaves and were pretty well known in the area.

Tony couldn't move for right now as the group he was about to face might give him trouble if he was too rash. So, from that, he returned to Liam and intended to report it, which he didn't know had to miss because Liam was too busy with Amora.

When Tony took a sip of his last cigar, his old phone vibrated. Just like the other werewolves who had a business with Mr. Lee, they didn't change their communication devices frequently to keep their data safe from enemies. When they had to change it, then it had to be crushed to dust without leaving a single component behind.

He opened the mailbox and found a message sent by Candy. Her profile photo looked dazzling with the split red robe that she often wore. Red lipstick and pointed heels were dominant. She was very beautiful and also looked strong!

"Did you find anything?" she asked in her message which Tony had read. Shortly after she sent another message. "Tell me so we can do something!"

He didn't reply at all. Besides, he hadn't decided yet whether he would help her or not. He still had a lot of considerations that he needed to think about.

And because of that complicated thought, he took a new cigar, lit the tip with fire, and took a deep breath. Amidst the silence, she texted him again.

"I knew you were there! You read all my texts! Don't you suspect why he bought such a lowly human all of a sudden when he wasn't interested in anything all along?”

He almost turned off his phone until then she called him. Although reluctant he picked it up. Putting it to his ear, he heard her complain.

"Do you want to die?" Yeah, that was Candy! She was very rude to almost all the men except for Liam. Tony still got some privileges because he looked similar to Liam. But that night she got her supreme anger. "Why didn't you reply to my message? Don't you know how important this matter is?" Her wolf's voice joined in with her barking.

“If you think it is, then see Mr. Liam by yourself. Explain to him that he shouldn't have bought the woman."

"You know when a man is crazy about a woman, he won't want to see or hear anything."

Tony was a little offended. He had thought that Candy made fun of him. "Then what do you want?"

“Mr. Liam is making the wrong decision. I was sure that he thought that she was his mate.”

He got tensed. How could she possibly guess so accurately? Being the daughter of a club owner as well as an illegal businessman did require intelligence. He shouldn't be too surprised by that. "Maybe that's true," he said casually.

"Listen! Have you ever come across a case where one of us had a human mate? Never! And even if there is, then it's just nonsense! Humans are our prey and slaves. There's no way the great Moon Goddess would lower her level by betrothing a human to one of us."

"Yeah, everything has a possibility."

"That's just bullshit!" She insisted. “So, tell me what you have seen and what you have found there! I will help you and help Mr. Liam from his madness.”

Tony had his doubts. Maybe what she said was true, that Liam was crazy. She might not be his mate because she was human, at least maybe she wasn't Amora. But Tony knew how much strength Liam had. So, how could he go wrong?

But because he didn't want to get in trouble in the pack, Tony told Candy what he knew. "They sleep together."

"WHAT?!" Candy's voice boomed so much that it almost broke the speaker of his phone.

He pushed his head away, snorting. “I already said it. So don't bother me!” The call ended and he turned off his phone.

She tried repeatedly to call him again, but nothing worked.

Currently, she was in a secret room under the club which was still blaring with music. It was a room for her and her father, a large enough room that had carpet that was always cleaned, a round table of expensive wood, and some premium chairs. In front of her, there was a glass of vodka only a little left. She grabbed it and threw it at the wall of the room.

Mr. Lee, who was busy counting money with his subordinates, turned to his daughter. His bald head glistened in the lamplight, catching Candy's angry expression. “My Beloved Daughter, what's the matter?” Before he got up from the counter, he had pocketed a million-dollar bill from it. "Is there something bothering you?" he continued after sitting right beside her.

Nothing she said in a long time. Everything was silent, even his subordinates held their breath. Some of them hoped to get out as soon as possible, and some of them were working as fast as they could to get home soon.

They didn't know what was going on until she snapped and threw the nearest vodka bottle on the floor. “I want us to visit Mr. Liam tomorrow!”

…

At eleven o'clock, as the rising sun was obscured by mist, Mr. Lee wore his very neat trousers. Despite having no hair, he grabbed a comb and ran it over his head, as if that might make him a little prettier.

Their home was located on the banks of the Slogom River, a river not far from a major port in their area. From his residence, he could monitor the shipment and arrival of illegal goods and also drugs from other lands. This business required a lot of strategy and precision. Without properly calculating everything, he could lose it all.

He came out of the room when he found Cindy standing on the first floor, along with some of their mistresses who were distributing drugs on a small scale to the hinterlands. They deposited sales to her.

When he came down, she had finished with her business and then headed to their car, a black SUV.

They rode accompanied by a chauffeur from among the Omega. There was no conversation between the father and the daughter until they arrived at Liam's enormous and magnificent residence.

They got down and the car pulled over under a shady tree. She was wearing red as usual, only tighter and shorter, more revealing and more challenging. While he was wearing a tacky plain shirt, two buttons unbuttoned.

Before they entered, she spoke to him. “Father, you want to be the powerful person here, right? You want to gain more power than now, right?”

He nodded without hesitation. "Of course. Why do you say that?

"There," she points at Liam's house, "there is a human who might break your will. If she stays then I will have a hard time getting Mr. Liam." She adhered to the principle of keeping cool in front of guests. But she would say anything openly to her father because they were a family that had the same goals.

“Is she the human he bought last night?”

She nodded. "Right. If you want to keep seeing Mr. Liam is beside you and belongs to me, so you have to help me, Father.”

"What can I do for you, my daughter?"

"Help me to get rid of her!"
