Chapter Eighty Four - The Festival - The Competition

Grant's POV

I walked with my mate outside to where the competition was being held on the training grounds. We were directed into a tent where her grandparents stood. Queen Merida smiled as we entered and came over to us. There was an Omega behind her wearing the Royal Colours and holding a cushion with a silver Tiara with emeralds dotted over it. I looked at my Princess and chuckled. Her Grandmother knew her very well.

'What are you chuckling at?' Kari asked over mindlink.

'You forgot something...Again.' She looked at me and frowned as Merida arrived next to us.

"She is becoming quite predictable, I see Queen Merida." I said, nodding to the Tiara. Merida grinned.

"Oh Damn it." Kari muttered beside me. "I am so not used to wearing one. Merida laughed as she placed the Tiara on her granddaughter's head.

"You will get used to it in time, my child, it is all still quite new to you."
