Chapter 6
The days after that event, was dominated by the Christmas holidays. The decoration of the tree, the celebration of Yule, the longest night.
Everyday things.
It was nice that everything was somewhat in balance again.
Moon had almost recovered from everything she had been through, but Maddie had the feeling that Omem had lost resilience.
The glee had disappeared from her eyes.
Maddie also realized that she was much more powerful than her grandmother, perhaps stronger than most of the magical creatures she knew herself. There was also a lot of accountability involved. She was glad she had Raven to share it with.
She felt some sort of unrest in Raven as if he was upset about something, but she wouldn't insist. She knew he would cut himself off from her completely. And that was the last thing she wanted. She had to be patient, he would come up with the story if he thought it necessary.
Maddie felt that the energy she carried had increased.
