If I weren’t already a vampire and dead, I would swear that I was dead. I felt like death warmed over. I turned over to stare at the ceiling. I winced when I did this. My whole body hurt; I think I found muscles I had no idea I had. I decided that sleep was still more important, but as I started to doze back off, I felt the bed dip down. I debated about telling whoever it was to get the fuck off my bed, but as the sparks coursed through me, I knew who it was. A smile spread across my face as I felt a kiss pressed to my temple.
