FREYA

My heart throbbed in panic as the ferocious-looking wolves advanced towards me. They were four in number; all lean, brown and hungry looking, like they'd managed to escape from a cage where they were locked for months. Chills ran down my spine as I noticed one of them lick its mouth, like he couldn't wait to get a taste of me.

I started to move slowly, my hands outstretched as I prayed for a miracle to happen. They all seemed bent at catching their prey and there was definitely no way I would escape without getting caught. I would have jumped in the stream, but my whole body is so weak that I'd definitely drown since I didn't have enough energy to swim. A wave of heat swept past my system, digging a pit of dread in my soul as I realised being able to get out of this would be too much to hope for.
