5. The Crystal night

~ NERO'S POV ~ (contd)

In the Crystal Night, I arrived at Obsidian Pack with Dalian and two of my strongest warriors. The moon wasn't fully out yet so everyone was still enjoying the peaceful evening before the mating heat begins.

Everyone but me. 

I merely stared at Alpha Lennox who stood across me in an attempt to welcome me. While fighting the urge to grab him and kill him right here and right there for murdering my pregnant mate in cold blood. 

Closing my eyes, I breathed through the rage boiling inside of me. It wasn't time yet. For Emory, I will take my time paying back what Lennox did to her in hundred folds.

Alpha Nero, welcome to the Obsidian pack! 

"We are happy to receive you.” Lennox hailed

 Lennox gritted. Being an Alpha, Lennox found it hard bowing to another but he had to know that Nero was by far more powerful than he was, so he bowed.

~ NERO's POV ~ (contd)

"As an Alpha bowing to another alpha must be hard for him," I smirked at the thought. 

While going in anger and trying not to kill Lennox at the moment, I walked passed him into his house ignoring him while my Beta did the talking for me.

 “It's my Alpha's pleasure.”

Lennox forced a smile which was very obvious but I didn't care much. I just wanted to finish my business and get out of there before I'ld do something very drastic.

Lennox went on to introduce his family, 

“This is Marietta, the Luna, my son Bryan. My daughter will be joining us shortly with the drinks.” Lennox said

I cast a look at Dalian who quickly understood what I was trying to say. 

“Since the mating heat will soon begin, have you assembled all the females in this pack? Our Alpha would like to choose his concubine now!”

“Um, yes.” Lennox gritted out.

 “Come with me.” 

We were about to leave when a green-eyed lady walked in holding a tray.

 “Dad, you are leaving? The drinks,” she said

Immediately, my heart skipped a beat. Isn't this the girl who mistook me for a gigolo?

 Her scent wafted into my nose and instead of the sweet floral scent I smelt two days ago, I caught Jasmine's scent and... A wolf — making me frown. I instantly realized that this girl might look a lot like the girl from the club, but she is not her. 

Does that make them twins? I pondered sensing something wrong.

“Search this house at once,” I ordered, growling. 

“Bring out anything that is of normal,” I ordered

“Yes!” Dalian and the remaining guards began searching the house instantly.

Lennox got in front of me while signaling his mate and his son to stop them from searching, 

“What is happening Alpha Nero? You can't just search the house, tell me what is wrong and I will handle it...” he said trying to stop me but he should know better, when I set my mind on something, I don't go back on it.

A cold look from me was enough to shut him off. Wordlessly, I took another part different from my Beta's and began walking down the hallway.

The fact Lennox tried to block my way as I went deeper confirmed my suspicion. In the file I read about Lennox, he only mentioned he had one daughter, does that mean he didn't acknowledge his little drunk Kitty as his daughter?

I was just about to walk passed a door when I caught a faint floral scent. Pausing, I stepped back and moved closer to the door. I opened the door and found a pathway. I could perceive the sweet floral scent coming from in there.

 As I was about to go in a voice echoed

"No, don't go in there, " Lennox shouted but I didn't pay attention to that. As I kept on going, the sweet floral scent became stronger. Finally, there she was, locked up and lying helplessly on the ground. My beta came after me and I ordered him to unlock the door. Just as I walked in, she turned towards me with sweat all over her face making some strands of hair stick to her face. 

"Gigolo!" I heard her say before she passed out

I tried to get the hairs on her face out when Lennox shouted

“Alpha Nero, no! Don't!”

I turned to see his face. He had fear in his eyes and he trembled. I took my time to glance through his body and found out that at this moment Lennox would do anything for him to live the girl alone.

It seems like out of the hundredfold of payment for what he did to my wife, I've found one to start with. 

"This is going to be fun," I thought to myself as I smirked

"Take her she's coming with me," I ordered

"No, you can't do that, " Lennox let out furiously but I wasn't shaken by his anger.

"Oh yes, I can. After all, she doesn't mean anything to you. Does she?" I asked  

"She's not a Wolf, " he said trying to convince me

"For now. It's just a matter of time, " I said as I walked passed him. My beta carried her out of the dungeon while Lennox and the others followed

"Where are you taking her?" The girl who looked like her asked

"She's the chosen one, " my beta replied

"No, that can't be. My sister is weak and she is innocent, " she said as I walked passed her and straight to my car. 

"Keep her with me and join the other car, " I ordered. She was about to turn. I don't know what she is going to look like or do when that happens. As we drove off, I could see the anger in Lennox's eyes. He ain't seen nothing yet.

This is just the beginning!!!
