Prologue

"I'm sorry. I can't lose you, not again." I said as I walked out of the safe house.

I embroidered the house doors with enchantments to keep the people inside from getting out.

"You can't do this Clarke. You can't do this alone, you'll die!" he shouted.

"I'd rather have me die than you." I softly whispered.

I turned back for one final time and gave him a smile.

Whatever fate had written on both our names,

His and mine should never be the same.

I march to the enemy's ground alone, carrying nothing with me but the will to end this war.

"Brave of you to come alone." the son of the devil said.

I turned my gaze on him and willfully changed the color of my eyes.

"I couldn't let them be the one to end you, we have something to settle after all." I smirked.
