22. Oblivious

Amara POV

Dark, empty.. nothing. That’s all I can see. All that I’m surrounded by.

What happened?

Where am I?

I felt movement around me but I couldn’t move myself.

There was pain, but it seemed to ease as every moment passed.

Damn it Amara.. what’s the last thing you remember?

I tried so hard to think until finally, small bits started to come back.

I was relaxing. Then Sebastian.. he..

He marked me.

My eyes fluttered open and I slowly looked around. My hand flew to my neck but I felt no pain. No open wounds, only the raised bumps of the scar of my mark.

“Sebastian?” I croaked.

All I heard was a deep huff towards the foot of the bed.

It didn’t sound like Sebastian.

Instantly, I heard the thuds and scratches as Sebastian’s lycan stood from the floor in front of the bed and stared at me with his red eyes.

“Shift please,” I spoke, my voice cracking like I hadn’t spoken in weeks.

I was surprised to see Sebastian’s lycan be anything but angry or losing
