“Oh, I should do that,” he said. “Phew thank goodness she changed the subject. I really needed to change my thoughts elsewhere,” he thought.
“You should.”
Austin walked over to the drawers and pulled out his clothes.
“I don’t get it, we’re in the new era, but your father still wears clothes like he’s back in the ancient days.”
“Well, we’re still in the ancient days, but also mixture of the modern days as well.”
“Yes. Yes, we are.”
“But knowing my father he wants to keep everything traditional.”
“Oh.”
“That’s why he is considered to be an elder.”
“I guess.”
“So, you don’t usually wear these traditional clothing?”
“Umm. Not always.”
“Oh.”
“I only wear it when I have too.”
“I see,” said Agatha, as she slipped on her top layer of dress.
“I majority wear these type of clothes when I’m coming to see your father or the elders. They still believe in the ancient ways and these clothing. So, I won’t disrespect. I will do it.”
“That’s thoughtful of you.”
“Yeah. I guess so.”
“But they are pretty,” said Agatha. She toss her ripped wedding dress over the folding screen.
“Yeah, in certain aspects. But they’re too much sometimes. Too many layers. Too much to put on.”
“I guess, but I still like them.”
“Oh. You do.”
“Yes. At times.”
Then Austin thought about seeing her in the lingerie. He thought to ask, “Are you into the modern clothing too?”
“Yeah, I like some of them. Such as the panties, and thongs.”
Austin face flushed red again. The thought of her lying naked on the bed brought many things into his mind. Vivid and dirty things contaminated his brain.
“I like my traditional clothing with twist on them. Such as off the shoulder or having puff and laces.”
Austin covered his face in embarrassment as he remembered the laces on her body. “This woman is going to drive me to the brink of my death, I just know it. She doesn’t even know what she’s doing to me right now,” he thought. “How could someone whom I hate, and dislike even make me like this,” he continued thinking. “No. No I cannot think like that. I was set on making her sister my mate, I shouldn’t be thinking like this.”
Agatha came out from the folding screen and said, “I’m done.”
Austin was finishing up tying his belt. He turned around and looked at Agatha.
Agatha was in a beige and red dress. Her sleeves matched perfectly with her dress. Her long hair drifted behind her. Her bright blue eyes was shimmering beautifully at him. She was looking rather stunningly in front of him.
Austin froze. He thought, “So beautiful.”
Agatha tilted her head at him again. “Is something wrong?”
Austin shook his head. “No. Nothing is wrong.”
Agatha softly chuckled at him.
Austin slightly gasped at her laughter. He was breathing fast as he tried to focus his thoughts somewhere else besides her beautiful smile. His eyes went to his inner clothing and noticed it needed to be fixed. He shifted his clothing to align with each other. He then put on his outer layer of clothes.
Then out of the bloom, Agatha reached her hands to his waist.
Thump. Thump-thump. Austin could hear his heart beating rapidly. The scent of mating was drifting through his body. It was empowering his senses of thought. He gulped and thought, “This is it. This our que to mate.”
Agatha reached for his belt and was fixing it.
Austin frowned as she wasn’t taking off his belt instead, she was tightening it.
Agatha rotated his belt to where the center piece correlated with his chest. “There, much better,” she said.
“What?” asked Austin.
“Your belt.”
“Huh?” questioned Austin.
“Your belt. It was crocked.”
“Oh.” Austin sounded disappointed.
Agatha withdrew her hands.
Again, he noticed her slender small white hands. They were rather pretty indeed. For someone locked in a prison cell she doesn’t look to have any deformities.
“Are you okay?” asked Agatha, looking at him with puzzlement.
Austin couldn’t find any words to say to her as he was locked by her beautiful blue eyes.
“What’s wrong?” questioned Agatha.
“Nothing.”
“Well then let’s get going.”
Austin nodded.
Agatha smiled at him and walked towards the door.
Austin thought, “One year. That’s all it’s going to take. One year and we will end our bond. Our mating will no longer exist. I will no longer be married to this curse woman.” He then sneaked a peek at Agatha. He looked at her as she exited the door.
The sun’s rays were shining brightly at her. Making her glow as she stood at the door.
“Wow. What a beautiful bride I got,” he thought.
Agatha walked out the door without second glancing at him.
Austin felt irritated. “Pfft. What am I even thinking. I don’t even like her. I shouldn’t develop any feelings for her. Whatever happened this morning was all an accident. No such thing as gods or goddess trying to make us mate,” he whispers.
After checking his appearance again, Austin followed her out the door. When he got outside, Agatha was gone.
“What? Where did she go?” he thought. He looked around and she really wasn’t anywhere.
“Is there something wrong King Austin?” asked the maid.
“How odd she was gone before I could even make it to the door,” whispered Austin.
“King Austin?” asked the maid again.
“What?” he asked.
“Is there anything wrong?”
“No.”
“Then please your highness, follow us,” said the maid.
Austin following them noticed that Agatha was nowhere to be seen. He then stopped in his tracked and asked, “Where is she?”
“Who?”
“My wife?”
“Oh, you’re talking about the curse princess?”
“Yes,” said Austin, with annoyance.
“She went ahead already.”
“Really?”
The maid nodded her head. “Yes. She left already.”
“Alright.”
As Austin walked through the halls of the palace, he thought it was strange how she disappeared so fast. Her footing was so quiet. Even he, the sharpest listener, didn’t notice her leaving.
“Your highness, we should hurry. It’s near afternoon now.”
“Oh,” said Austin. He looked up into the sky. It was indeed late as the sun had already risen high into the sky. He frowned and thought, “Were we taking that long in the bed?”
Some of the maids were giggling.
“Please, this way,” said the maid, ushering them to the great hall.
Austin followed the maid into the great hall where King Leonardo was waiting for them.
In the olden days, as a respect to the elders the newly couple would greet the elders. The newly bride would pour a cup of tea to greet her elders. King Leonardo was present along with his other sons and Juniper. Crown Prince was sitting alongside his Crown Princess. Also, the kingdom’s witch doctor was present. She was an elderly woman with white hair and black eyes. “Oh, where is Agatha?” asked King Leonardo. Austin doesn’t know himself. He thought that she was here already, but she wasn’t. Did she get lost along the way? Or did something happen to her. He frowned as he wasn’t sure how to answer his father-in-law. “Well?” asked King Leonardo, with impatience in his voice. Before Austin could say anything, Agatha walked into the great her. Her beige and red dress floated around her. Her hair was neatly tied together, and her long hair drifted behind her. Her blue eyes was shimmering brightly. Her lips stained with red lipstick, defining her full lips. Her mega, thick, and long l
“Cheers!” shouted the crowds. They all lifted up their cup of wine and drank it in one gulp.Agatha lifted her cup, but she hesitated as she didn’t want to drink the liquor.A striking young man sitting in the men’s seating area said loudly, “Now, if you don’t want to drink, how about I take the shot for you.” He was Prince Brayden Cerise of the Red Wolves pack. He was the oldest of the sons. He have red hair with brown eyes. His hair was tied up into a bun. He looked masculine and also very fit.Agatha frowns at him.He smiled at her and raised his cup to her.“Who are you?” asked Agatha.“Who am I?”“Yes.”“The one whom miss you.”Austin frowned at his words.Agatha shyly looked away from him.The women around her were giggling as Prince Brayden was flirting with her. They complemented her on how pretty she was that even the hardest prince to impress was amazed by her dazzling look.Prince Brayden down his cup of liquor.“Couldn’t they talk any louder?” thought Austin. He gulped dow
EARLIER THAT MORNING OF THE WEDDING In her freezing cell, Agatha was still in mediation. She was finishing up her magic when she was rudely interrupted by loud clanging and banging of the bars to her cell.“Who is it?” she thought.“You go get her,” said the first maid.“No. You go,” said the second maid.“Well, I been here first, so you should listen to me.”“But I am higher rank than you, so you should listen to me.”“No. That’s not fair.”Agatha sighed as both of them were going to keep fighting and her food was going to get cold, and she wouldn’t have anything warm to eat.“Alright then, let’s go together,” said the first maid.“Okay, but you can’t lie to me,” said the second maid.“Of course not.”Both of them open up the cell door and enter. They both gasped as they saw her.Agatha was dressed in rags. She was so pale and white that the maids were frightened of her. The second maid nearly fainted as she thought Agatha was a ghost.“She’s not human. She’s dead,” said the first m
BACK TO PRESENT“How about a poem competition?” asked Prince Brayden. He was still looking at Agatha.“Very well. Very well. It’s been a long time since the great hall has had some laughter. How about Juniper, you start?” asked King Leonardo.“Humph, you two can play that game of looking at each other,” thought Juniper. “But I have my own ways of making you jealous too.”“Make it as interesting as you can,” said King Leonardo. He clapped his hands together.Juniper got up and started the verse of poem with the moon. She then turned to Austin and said, “King Austin, please continue the verse.”Austin got up and recited his poem. His poem of the moon was par with war heroes. Everyone was praising how talented he was. It went around in a circle traveling from those who wanted to verse about the moon. Then it was Brayden’s turned, and his moon poem was full of mystery. Everyone nodded their head as his poetry was quite mysterious.Soon it was Agatha’s turn. “Humph, you want to embarrass m
“Yeah. To imagine a curse princess being married to that dying pack of wolves,” said another princess.Austin clenched his fist tightly. After a short while, Austin also exited the party and left the great hall.Juniper, seeing that Austin had left the party made an excuse and also followed him out of the great hall.“King Austin,” said Juniper. She ran after him.“Princess Juniper, what are you doing out here?” asked Austin.“I came to find you.”“Find me?”“Yes.” She walked closer to him and pretended to trip on a pebble and fell into his arms.“Careful now,” said Austin. He was helping her steady herself.Juniper looked at him with shimmering eyes.“Are you okay?” asked Austin, with shock. His eyes widening with excitement at her alluring look.“Yes. Yes. I am. Thank you.”“Okay. Well then good night.” Austin turned around and left.Juniper frowned as to why he suddenly left. Didn’t he say that he liked her and fell in love with her at first sight? So why leave? Didn’t he ask for h
Austin couldn’t believe that he walked away from Juniper. The only person he wanted to marry to. She's the reason why he pledged his allegiance. She’s the reason why he went through all of this trouble to begin with. She's the one whom he wanted to be with. How he wanted her as his mate and his Luna. How he dreaded not taking her. Austin's pace quickened. He had to leave. Because if he didn’t, he would really do something he would regret. He would take Juniper right there and then. He had to go before he does something he shouldn't. That is hurting his mate. He nearly ran to his room as he was shaking off his feelings. When Austin got to his room. He stood outside, staring at the window. Looking at the woman who ruined it all, Agatha. How he hated her. How she had ruined everything. Austin went to the room and kicked the doors open. "Ah!" screamed Agatha. Austin stared at her with irritation. Agatha frowned at him. "You really have a way of knocking, don't you?" asked Agatha. A
“Meaning you and I will be in there,” Austin pointed to the bed. “consummating our marriage. Assuring our mating is bonded.” Austin whispers in her ears. "Everyone will watch as I take you." Agatha didn’t like what he was saying to her. She knows her father. Her father is short tempered and would probably do either one of those. Since her father wants to get rid of her, he probably forced them to mate so he can get rid of her. And that is something she doesn't want to do. Having a mate who’s going to cheat on her is a much more painful death than death itself. She doesn’t want someone who is unfaithful to her. Especially him, who is planning to bed someone else to break their bond. She refused to be with a man whose mind is always thinking about another woman. Alpha or no alpha she wouldn’t want any man like him. Being alone for so long she is fine with it. She would rather live a life alone than with someone else who would betray her. Someone who doesn't care or love her. Who thi
Knock. Knock. Austin’s face lit up as he thought it was Agatha. He rushed to the door and opened it but it wasn't. It was a maid. "Your highness, the carriage is ready," said a maid."The carriage?""Yes. Your carriage that you requested two days ago.""Oh.""Would you like for me to come get you ready?""No.""Very well." The maid bowed and left."King Austin," said Grump."What is it?" "Are you ready?""Yeah." Austin tied his hair up and put it into a bun. "Let's get going. We been far away for far too long.""Yes my king." Grump looked around and didn’t see the king’s mate. He asked, "Where is Princess Agatha?" "What do you mean?""She’s not in the room with you?"Austin frowns. He hadn't seen her all morning, so he wasn't sure where she was. Could it be that she went walking and got into trouble. She's been locked up for so long that maybe she doesn't know what’s good or bad. She probably can’t even tell whose good or bad either. He panicked and said, "Let's go.""Where?" asked
