Chapter Fifty-Seven
Neither of us spoke on the car ride to the warehouse, the vibe in the car was tense and anxious over the next moments ahead. In a few short hours, this whole situation with Richard could come to an end or take an even bigger shift and turn no one is expecting. In my mind I was going over the plan and everything that we knew, which helped me not to worry over the little details. From all the letters Richard has been sending me, we know he has some kind of care towards me so I don't think I need to worry about him surprise attacking us. But I also know how much Richard goes over things, he could have been coming up with this plan from the start and wants me to feel comfortable, than he'll attack.

The metal stairs creaked under our feet as we climbed them, maybe having two of us walking up them at the same time wasn't the brightest of idea's. We pull into the alliance with Richard in the back, we didn't even have to stop at the gate as it was already open. The guard at the door sends me a clap as I drove in, I guess the news of us finally catching Richard has got out. I walk into the meeting room to see Riley filling some pieces of paper out, we've just finished a case and it was his turn to do the paper work. We've been partners since we started working for the Alliance 4 years ago, but were best friends since we both arrived here around 11 years now. I walk back in after talking with Morgan, he was as shocked and worried as I was. In what feels like forever we pull up at the gates of the alliance, now that would have calmed me down to have this car ride over. "Mummy!" I shout frantically looking around the empty woodland, I kept tripping on little branches from the trees that had fell, it was dark, cold and wet "mummy I'm scared, mummy where are you?!" We were soon on the road heading to Toby's pack, for right now I felt fine and wasn't missing him. But I guess I've only been away from the place 20 minutes, I wonder what it's gonna feel like after two hours.
