Three weeks later,

"So, how was your last check-up with the doctor?" Nadia asked as she sat at the bedside of the huge man before her.

The man chucked and gave her a wry look as if asking her if she was really asking him this question.

"I should be the one asking you this question, Miss. You're the one who got admitted recently," he said with a smile.

"Oh, come on, Blake! Mine was just a flesh wound and too much drama. You're the one who was about to cross to the other side for a moment there," She answered with a fake frown.
