CHAPTER NINETY-SIX

Alan left the room and headed to his study, pouring himself a glass of whisky he downed it at a go.

The words Ashley said to him taunted him greatly, he was also hurt. At first, he didn't want the child but he had come to love him and now they lost their baby.

His biggest fear was Ashley leaving him and he hoped it would never get to that extent, so he drank a few more glasses hoping they would take the pain he was feeling away.

Groaning, Alan woke up with a sore back. He slept on the couch of his study, which was expected.

“I should head to the gym” He mumbled, finding his way to the gym.

Ashley woke up a little bit late, she had cried herself to sleep. Losing a child before you could even see him was very painful.

“I shouldn't have spoken to him like that” She mumbled, recollecting all the words she used on him. She felt bad knowing that ever since she came here Alan has been very loving and caring to her.

“I should stop mourning and put my household in order,” She said with renewe
