Chapter 06: Mere Merchant's Blasphemous Tale

Amethyst woke up, groaning. Her jaws ached. Her wounds hurt. Her stomach grumbled. Nothing was pleasant.

The weary elf lifted her bedsore face and glanced around. "Where am I?" she mumbled. Her voice was raspy for her throat was dry.

She was on a large four-poster bed with velvety sheets and pillows. White veils mantled the bed from the canopy down to the white wooden floor, curtaining the bedsides. Living green veins with blooming flowers coiled the bed posts, adorning them. The pleasant and soft scent of the flowers tickled her nostrils which were only familiar with the strong and pungent scent of dust and rust.

The elf found herself admiring the bed as it was something that she had never seen in her life. Then, she crawled on all four to the bedside, pushed the veils gently to one side, and then, poked her head out.

She was inside a strange room that looked like a massive glass dome. The skylight was high above her head, and the room was bright from the inside out. About twenty str
