Pregnant for a stranger

3 months later...

Hannah sat close to the window side as she watched the moon, full and shiny, her face was so puffy and even her eyes were swollen and red, a clear evidence that she's been crying for quite some time. Yes crying won't solve anything but this seems to be the only way to relieve herself of the pain in her heart, so much has happened to her already and it was enough to break her completely, she was barely managing to hold on to the little hope she has for a better and brighter future.

It's been 3 months since she had a one night stand with a stranger, an action which she regrets bitterly till this day, every single day she asks herself what made her go out to the club that night, why didn't she just go home, had she gone home then none of that would have happened in the first place and she wouldn't have been pregnant with a stranger's child!

When she woke up the next morning after the incident, there was no one there except her, she was horrified to see her clothes lying on the floor and needed no one to tell her what exactly had happened. There was no trace of the man she had slept with, nothing!

Some part of her blamed Jason and Carly for the stupid mistake she made, but it got to a point where she stopped blaming them as they weren't the ones who asked her to go to the bar in the first place. The only one to blame for what happened is herself, and to think she has no memory of what happened or even an idea of whom she had slept with, she remembers nothing!

She hated herself for making such a stupid mistake and she spent days beating herself for it. And just when she had thought that her life couldn't get any worse, she found out she was carrying the stranger's child and that shattered her completely. She was left with two options, to either kill the child or keep it, but how could she possibly do that, the innocent child did nothing and didn't deserve to be punished for her own mistakes. It deserve to live and have a good life which she had promised herself that she will give to her child.

Every single thing she's faced in the past three months threatened both her mental and physical health, but she tried to stay strong for her baby.

She once ran into Jason and Carly at the mall she went to shop for a few things and when they saw how much weight she has added, they both lashed out at her and insulted her so much. Unknown to them that she was pregnant due to the baggy clothes she had on.

But instead of fighting back, she choose to ignore them and move on, it's her mistake for trusting them both and she'll forever blame herself for it.

But then, it seems to her like fate loves playing so many tricks on her as each time she goes out, she's bound to bump into them and endure their insults again and again and again. Those two were really shameless and each day she prays and hope that karma gets to them, they've tormented her emotionally and mentally.

And now she's also left with no other option than to leave this city because this place has given her nothing but terrible pains and sorrow, a day here is something Hannah wouldn't want.

"I can't stay here any longer, I can't stay here, I'll need to go far away from here, far away from everybody, far away from all the heartache and mockery." She said, muttering the last part.

Hannah hurriedly stood up, she grabbed her suitcase, then she opened her closet, she started packing her things, she didn't have much clothes either, she took whatever she could, then she closed her suitcase.

She dragged her suitcase to her living room, took one last long look at the house and it brought tears to her eyes, her house was old and shabby, but it was still her home, the only gift her parents left her with before they passed away and now she's leaving it.

She felt the strong urge to sell the house, knowing it'll be sold for a very cheap price due to how old it was, but then, this is the only thing her parents gave to her and she can't just sell it off for any reason at all. Maybe she'll come back, but she doesn't know when or how long she'll be away, moving to another city sounds like the best thing to her and that's what she's going to do, she just need a break from this city and its troubles.

A sad smile appeared on her lips and then she wiped her tears off, she dragged her suitcase to the gate, opened it and she went out.

She quietly locked the gate from the outside, then she took another look at the home.

So many memories began flooding through her head, both the good ones and the bad ones. Deep down, it's sad that her presence won't even be felt or missed, but either ways, this is just how her life sadly turned out to be, filled with pain and sorrow with little or no happiness in it at all.

Her hand went to her stomach, and she rubbed it lovingly, even though her child was gotten out of wedlock, she didn't love him different, she loves the baby so much and she's going to spend then rest of her life showing her child that.

"I'll raise you on my own." She whispered. "I'll make sure to give you all the love that you deserve and never make you go through the same thing I did or feel unwanted. Mama's going to work hard to give you the best life." She promised her child.

She used her palm to clean her tears, then she turned and she left, not bothering to look back.
