Where is his father? Huh

Episode ten.

Hannah closed her eyes firmly, she squeezed them tight, she already had given up about losing her back or breaking her spinal cord, a hand pulled her back and she felt herself standing on her feet again.

She opened her eyes and saw him, staring darkly into her eyes with no atom of smile on his face.

Her heart was racing faster, she was indeed very scared.

"Good...good morning." She shuttered.

He turned around and walked back to his office without responding.

"So rude!"

Hannah thrilled behind him and knock before entering.

He was already seated.

"Sorry about what happened and thanks for saving me." Hannah said.

"I didn't saved you, I only did that because I know that you are very manipulative, once you body hit the ground you will use it as an opportunity not to be coming to work which I won't tolerate." Mr Clark replied.

Hannah opened her mouth to speak but she couldn't even found the right words, she just slammed her hands on the table and that got his attention.

"How could you even say that to me! You don't even know me to say I'm been manipulative, is your brain too dumb to understand that I wouldn't want to fall down intentionally!" Hannah spat.

He smirked.

"I don't trust any girl I see on the road, especially you, you have accepted the work right, then stop talking, your time starts now." Me Clark ordered.

"Like now?" Hannah asked.

"No, in the coming five years." He answered been sarcastic.

She rolled her eyes.

"Your office is there, right next to mine, I will be watching you from here, you are my secretary which means that you will be in charge of everything that has to do with me, you will take care of the accounting, the statistics, the contract and investment and..."

"Wait, did I just heard you said accounting and statistics? I'm your secretary and not your accountant, and I don't understand how in anyways they are related." Hannah cut him off.

"You think I'm willing to be paying you a thousand dollars every month just for you to be my secretary, why are you been so lazy, what kind of a woman are you, I thought you needed this job for your son and you are willing to do anything for it?"

Clark asked and she felt weak.

"Yes." She answered.

"Great, now get to work, your office is there, I will meet you in five." Clark answered and she nodded, she walked quietly to the office next to Mr Clark's office, Mr Clark could see everything happening in her office from his own office, only a big mirror separated the both offices, she pushed the door and entered, it's big and comfortable, she removed her jacket and sat down In front of the giant computer.

"God, hope I'm doing the right thing, make everything easier for me for the sake of Joey." Hannah muttered silently and closed her eyes for a short prayer.

She opened them only to see Clark standing right in front of her.

"Mr Clark." She called.

"Were you sleeping?" He asked.

"No I was..."

"You better not, I appreciate hardworking workers more." He interrupted her.

She nodded.

"John, come in please." Mr Clark said and a tall dark looking man walked inside the office with a lot of files, that looked so old.

Hannah wondered what they are needed for.

She didn't say a word though, she waited calmly for Mr rude to give her a speech.

"You can leave." Clark instructed and john left.

"You are to give me the statistical analysis of all of these files before the end of today, which simply means that I want them at my table tomorrow's morning." Clark said.

"What? Am I a computer or what? I can't do this all alone in weeks not to talk of doing it less than a day, you are just been cruel." Hannah replied.

"Thanks for the compliment, if you know what's good for you then you will start working, and yeah, you can't leave the office until you are done, I will make sure of that." Clark said.

He knew that she can't finish it all before tomorrow's morning, his intentions were to humiliate her if she fails to.

Hannah glanced at the files then back to him.

"I have a kid, I have to take care of him, he will be leaving school by 3:00, which means that I have to be there to pick him up." Hannah said in a calm voice.

"I'm not complaining and I swear I am not just using my son thank God you know him, I'm the only one he has." She added.

"Where is his father?" Clark asked.

"I don't know...it's personal." Hannah said.

"Personal huh? You were searching for a job and then you suddenly got the opportunity to be a secretary in this huge organization, you don't expect to come in the morning and leave in the evening, you have to get a babysitter to babysit your son, that's not my problem." Clark answered.

"His father is not around please try to understand me, we have no one, it's just me and him and it's difficult, he was the reason why I had to take this job to be able to provide a good life for him, please try to understand me." Hannah pleaded close to tears, she tried hard not to cry in front of him.

"If I were you, I will start working immediately, because your time starts now, and do not forget, you can only leave the office when you are done with it." Mr Clark replied and Hannah watched he exit her office.

She buried her face in her hands and cried.

An idea popped into her mind.

She quickly picked her phone and dialed Sarah's number.

"Hey Sarah, I don't have enough time, can you please watch Joey for me? I have to...

"No phone calls while working!" She heard Clark shouted interrupting the calls.
