Olivia Steel's P.O.V
"Do you really think that's going to work though. Because come on Jason, you know how annoyingly protective dad can be," I said with a sigh.
He waved me off as we continued to walk out of the schools doors.
"This is our last week of school which gives me time to persuade dad in letting you accompany me to Red Moons Pack. Plus Colton will be there too with a few other pack warriors, so dad shouldn't have a problem."
My eyes gleamed with excitement as I squealed in delight.
"I hope he lets me! I want to witness a treaty being made between two packs."
Jason chuckled as he rolled his eyes while throwing an arm over my shoulder.
"It's not an exciting thing to watch Liv. Just a bunch of men negotiating before we decide on a final settlement that will benefit both packs."
"Okay I admit I'm more excited about exploring other pack lands than the treaty itself."
"And..."
He drawled out knowing my main reason for wanting to go to other packs.
"Come on, I know exploring other packs isn't the only reason why your so eager to go."
I blushed and swatted his shoulder while quickening my steps, avoiding my brothers gaze as he urged me on.
"Ugh fine, I want to find my mate too," I grumbled as my brother laughed.
"See, now that wasn't so bad now was it. Let's just hope that when you find him, I won't be tempted to beat him into a pulp if he wrongs you."
I smiled and sighed dreamily.
"I want something like mum and dads relationship. The way they look at each other as if no one else matters. I want that."
Jason rolled his eyes before pausing in his steps.
"We've heard the stories of how their relationship came to be. It wasn't always sunshine and rainbows sis. They went through hell together before fully embracing the mate bond."
I cringed at the stories my Uncle Mikey had told us about our parents. They did not have a smooth sailing relationship.
But that's not important.
The important thing that mattered was coming out of their struggles stronger than ever. They both held their shoulders up daring people to go against them. They were the power couple people looked up to. They were the reason our pack soared to great lengths.
"Your probably not eager to meet your mate but I am excited to find mine."
Jason chuckled before throwing an arm over my shoulders.
"I don't really care if I meet my mate or not. If I don't then I'm not going to go searching for her. I'm an Alpha. I have so much more responsibilities to take care of than whimpering about finding my mate. She will come when she comes. And if she doesn't then I'm ok with that. I don't really need a Luna to run my pack with an iron fist."
I raised a brow at him as we stopped in front of our cars.
"Your only fooling yourself when you say shit like that. When you see everyone with their mates you will start to yearn for yours. When you attend Alpha conferences and you are the only Alpha with no Luna, then you will feel the depths of true loneliness dear brother. You will envy it, whether you know it or not."
He rolled his eyes and scoffed before walking towards his car saluting me. As soon as he was seated he rolled the window down and started the engine as he stared at me.
"May the best Steel win," he smirked before zooming out of the schools parking lot.
I chuckled before mind linking one of the warriors to come get my car. I ran towards the trees of our school and as soon as I was sure my form was hidden from prying eyes, I shifted and ran towards my destination.
"I will win...I always do," I mind linked as my paws pounded against the forest floors.
The wind bristled through my fur causing my wolf to yap happily. I internally smirked as I pushed myself harder.
I inhaled the fresh air enjoying the adrenaline coursing through my being.
"Nearly there. How's your car fairing sis."
I scoffed at the mocking tone my brother used and ignored his taunts as I continued to run. When I burst through the borders of our pack I let my tongue roll out of my mouth as I ran happily. The welcoming vibes the pack gave out made me smile in content as I entered.
Home sweet home.
When the pack house came into view with the parking spaces being vacant of my brothers car, a wolfish grin appeared on my face. I slowed my running and ran behind a tree to grab the spare clothes stored there.
After I changed, I skipped up the steps and took a seat on the balcony railing, with my legs popped up as I waited patiently for Jason to arrive.
When his tires screeched in front of the house I chuckled as he got out and narrowed his gaze at me.
"Took you long enough. I was getting bored with how long it took you to get here," I said with a smirk.
"You cheated," he said pointing an accusing finger towards me.
"Now now lets not be a sore loser Jase. You never stated we couldn't run in our wolf form. Plus if someone was to be named a cheater then that would be you my dear brother. If I remember correctly you practically stated the challenge before you gapped it out of there."
"Whatever," he grumbled throwing open the front door and walking inside.
I chuckled at his childish antics following him in.
I gleamed when I saw my father in the kitchen doing who knows what with the pan.
"Daddy!" I squealed.
I ran up to him and launched myself on his back as I hugged him. Some people may think I'm too old for this shit but honestly I don't give a fuck.
"How was your trip," I mumbled against his back.
He chuckled and turned around when I released him before acknowledging Jason.
"It was good. Everything is all smooth sailing as we speak. Nothing out of place and surprisingly no rogue attacks have occurred within the last few months. It's starting out to be a good year."
I smiled noticing my fathers good mood and decided to test the waters. I'm sure I won't need Jason's assistance to get him to allow me to go.
"Really that's good to hear. So it seems there is no danger anymore right? We are free to roam as we speak?"
He scoffed before looking at Jason and pointing to me.
"This is why you must be with your sister at all times. Liv you can't just drop your guard if nothings happening. Always be alert no matter the circumstances. The rogues could just be buying time before they do anything."
"But they have no reason to come into our territory's. There is no motives."
"There doesn't need to be with rogues," he said with a shrug.
I looked at Jason and discretely gestured to dad for him to start talking.
He merely crossed his arms and leaned against the counter looking amused as ever while he sipped his soda.
"Ask him if I can accompany you to the treaty signing next week," I mind linked.
He rolled his eyes before looking at our father.
"If you don't mind dad, I personally would like for Liv to accompany me to visit the Blood Moon Pack for the Treaty signing. She will learn a few things watching the exchange."
I watched as my father raised a brow at Jason before looking at me with a narrowed gaze.
"Why do you want to go?"
My eyes widened in shock before I placed a hand on my chest in mock offence.
"What? I have no idea what your talking about. This is news to me as it is for you," I said raising my chin.
"Sure it is," he said rolling his eyes before looking at Jase with a serious expression.
"I will allow it. But if there is any sign of danger, you will personally escort her back here as soon as possible, no later. Am I understood."
"Of course ," he replied with a nod.
My father nodded in approval before meeting my gaze again.
He brought a hand to my cheek as his gaze softened.
"Don't be too much like your mother when your out there. She got herself into a whole lot of trouble," he said with a sigh before a small smile lit his face at the thought of his mate.
"I won't I promise."
I kissed his cheek and looked at Jason with a grin as I slipped out of the kitchen.
It looks like this independent wolf is going on a road trip to the Blood Moon Pack.
Aubrey's POV"You actually agreed to let her go?" I asked curiously as Nic shrugged when I knew without a doubt that this was a big deal for him."Aww your getting soft Nic, how cute," I coo'ed poking his sides. He slapped my hands away and narrowed his gaze as I laughed."I'm not getting soft. I was being a mature adult. Something you still need to do.""Pshh I will grow up when I want to grow up. Not when my age tells me to," I said with a scoff. He shook his head and chuckled. I felt his gaze run down my figure as a smirk fell on his features."Age is being amazingly good to you my little mate. So since the boys are at their grandparents why don't we do something of our own," he drawled slowly as he reached me.He wrapped his arms around me as I rested my hands on his chest, smiling up at him."Jason and Olivia are just in their rooms. Just because the twins are gone doesn't mean our other ch
Olivia Steel P.O.VToday was the day!I packed my gear and shoved them in my bag before lugging it out of my room and down the stairs."What the fuck."I smiled sheepishly when I accidentally shoved my dad aside in my haste."Language dad!" I called out before I threw the front door open and excitedly ran to Jason who was preparing the bags in the car."Woah Liv calm down before you poke someone's eyes out."I shoved my bags in the boot as my brother raised a brow at me."What?""You do realise we're only going for three days.""Yeah, what's your point?"He looked at my bags before meeting my gaze again."You packed as if we're going for two weeks. What did you even pack in those. Seriously you only need one bag Liv," Jason scolded."No I need those bags. And calm down it's only three bags. And they aren't even that big," I said with a shrug before closing the boot.Jus
Olivia Steels POV"Hurry up Liv, dinners ready and I'm fucking starving," Colton groaned as I blow dried my hair."Do you want my hair to be wet or not," I said getting annoyed with his whining."No one cares," he complained."Ugh fine you idiot, I'm coming. You should have just gone without me.""Jason said I can't come down till your ass is with me. Now get going I'm hungry."I rolled my eyes letting my damp hair fall down my back as I stood up and followed Colton out of the room."Geez you act like your've been starved for days, when I'm sure I saw you eating an hour ago.""One doughnut Liv. Now seriously what's that going to do to my stomach? Tickle it?""Your so dramatic," I said with a laugh as Colton opened the doors to the dinning hall.My laugh echoed in the quiet room causing me to cease my laughter immediately. The only sounds heard was the voices of my brother and Alpha Dimitri
"Tell me." "No." "Please?" "No." "Come on just tell me" "No." "fine." "No...wait what? Ow! Dammit Olivia," he groaned. I chuckled when Kade rubbed his side as he scooted further away with his eyes narrowed at me. "Okay fine, I'm sorry. But why cant you just tell me why he can't accept me?" "For the hundreth time Olivia, its not my place to tell." "I will find out eventually you know." "Then when that time comes I hope I'm not around." I frowned as he looked at me in sympathy. "Please Kade I'm begging you," I urged as I scooted closer to him and grabbed his arm in desperation. Something about what he said rubbed me in the wrong way. "I'm sorry Olivia, I can't." "What can't you do?" We both looked towards the voice and saw Jason in the doorway with his eyebrow raised. "Nothing that doesn't concern you," I said quickly. Jason ro
I kept running pushing my legs to go faster. "Olivia stop!" He called after me. His voice only urged me to go faster. I let out a laugh as I ran, my laughter echoing in the forest disturbing the peace. My happiness was short lived when I realised how close Damon was. He literally was on my heels. Hmm...that won't do. I looked ahead of me and spotted a thick tree. As soon as we got close to it I feigned a left turn before changing course immediately. I ran towards it and up the trunk before flipping backwards and changing direction. I heard him curse which caused me to smirk as I continued running. His speed would have prevented him from stopping to change course. As soon as I heard a growl and snapping of jaws I knew he shifted. Did anyone say rodeo? With a grin I knew he was back on my heels. I could literally feel his breath on my legs. I closed my eyes and tilted my head towards the sky basking in the
I squealed when Damon suddenly hoisted me onto his shoulders and started walking. "What the fuck are you...Ow! shit what was that for ?!" I said exasperated as I gripped his back for support. "Keep cussing and I will keep spanking you," he deadpanned. "Damon put me down, I'm perfectly fine with walking on my own. Your embarrassing me," I complained. "If you feel like its perfectly normal to be embarrassed in front of an audience of tree's, then sorry little mate but you need help." "Okay fine but when we get to the clearing put me down because this will look quite odd, don't you think?" "How so?" he said sounding amused. "Well first of all...I'm soaked in blood. If my brother see's me on your shoulder he will think I've been injured." "You have." "What? I'm not hurt in the slightest?" "Your pride is." I frowned and pulled myself up leaning my hands on his back as I tried to turn around to look at
I sighed as my legs hung off the armrest of the couch I was laying in. The room was encased in darkness except for the little rays of moonlight that shone through the gaps in the curtain. Questions wandered through my mind as I sat there alone with my thoughts. I scoffed at the thought of what happened moments ago. I ended up leaving Damon's place and running back to the Pack house. I was beyond irritated with his attitude. Especially when I tried to sneak up that "secret" staircase, I thought with a chuckle. I nearly got there too. "One more day," I whispered to the darkness. One more day till Damon decides our destiny. I hated how he had the power in this decision. It's not like I could put any input in considering I've already accepted him. He just needs to accept me. I got up off the chair and walked towards the double doors that lead out to the balcony. As I opened the doors I shivered as the wind car
I kept running even when it felt like my heart was going to rip out my chest. Damon already had a lover and she was enough of a reason for him to deny me. My breath was coming out in pants as tears freely streamed down my face as I ran. "Olivia Stop!" I growled in annoyance at the sound of his voice, just wanting to be left alone. I pushed myself harder not in the mood to deal with my so called mate. "Olivia wait!""Just stop and listen to me..."I jumped over a fallen gigantic tree without slowing down and landed with an omph. I heard him curse causing me to scoff un-amused. No matter how may times I changed course he remained on my heels. "Olivia!" he snapped.I stopped in my tracks suddenly before I turned around and glared at him."What the fuck do you want? I'm done with you. I'm done trying to win you over okay!?"I felt my eyes burn as I panted. Emotion after
