Fifteen

Lucian’s POV

Noon had passed, and night crept in silently with the gentle evening breeze accompanying it. I stood on the balcony attached to my room enjoying it with a divided mind. I wasn't myself, so I prayed that the breeze helped me to calm down.

It helped to an extent.

I dipped my hand into my pocket and took out my phone, when the screen came on, as I looked, it was already past eight, time for dinner.

I breathed out and went inside to freshen up a bit before I then moved to the dining room. At the table, only Marcus and Stephanie were seated while Calla wasn't.

I became uneasy and annoyed. Where could she be?

Pushing the thought aside, I began to eat, alongside Marcus and his mate. While eating, it was like the food became dry, refusing to go down my throat.

Calla’s absence bothered me greatly.

I stopped eating due to the discomfort that groped in my throat due to indigestion. I hastily gulped down a glass of champagne.
