Seventeen

I stormed out of the pack house, my anger boiling over. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I needed to cool off, to find some peace, somewhere away from everything. But as I walked through the quiet streets of the town, I couldn't shake off the frustration and resentment that was building up inside me.

As I reached the park, I slumped down on a bench, letting out a deep sigh. It was then I felt a soft hand on my shoulder, and I turned to see Stephanie, the Beta's mate, looking at me with concern.

"Hey, Calla," Stephanie said softly, sitting down next to me. "I thought you were in your room then I saw you leave the house, hope you are okay?"

I shook my head, still too angry to speak. Stephanie didn't push me, simply sitting quietly, waiting for me to calm down. After a few minutes, I finally spoke.

"I'm just so frustrated, Steph," I said, my voice trembling. "Lucian doesn't seem to understand how I feel. He seems so focused on making my life miserable, just imagine what he did."
