CALLA’s POV

I and Lucian continued our stroll down the riverside. I would occasionally pick up stones or leaves and throw them into the water.

I on my own battled with an army of thoughts threatening to invade my sanity.

I tried to connect the dots, between Axel and Lucian.

Axel is a liar and a trickster, undoubtedly strong but unreliable. He lied to get to me, and when he finally had his way, he messed me up and turned me into his plaything.

When my time had elapsed, he threw me out into the wild to die.

Regarding Lucian, first-hand ruthlessness. He is straightforward and could do anything to get what he wants. From my little time with him, I could say that Lucian is by far more worst than Axel.

I could not bear the thought of being on his bad side but at the same time, I don't want to appear weak before his eyes.

I needed to leave that impression in his mind that I'm not some sort of cheap woman that would throw herself willingly to anything on trousers.
