Pregnant Mermaid 2- Beach Attack

A group of boys played a fun game on the beach, hitting a ball with a racket in their hands. Although we didn't live in the human world, we were well aware of all its secrets; mermaids could visit the surface and even walk among people whenever we wanted, allowing us to easily understand their culture and norms.

I noticed that the teams were unbalanced, with two boys playing against three. The team with more players consisted of one girl and two men, while the opposing team consisted of two men. They were all young, and there was another boy sitting on the side of the net, watching them play. He hugged his knees with one arm and rested his chin on his hand, observing the tennis match with a concentration similar like if He was studying a game of chess. I looked at that boy and noticed his strong, hairy forearms, his hazel brown eyes were concentrated. I turned towards the bar, where a crowd made it difficult to access. Yryhnna grabbed my arm, letting out a laugh.

"Let's follow Seila before she flirts with any man, including the bar tender" Yryhnna added.

"Human men are so easy to seduce," I said, and we both laughed.

Seila, at the bar, orders cocktails and snacks. She places them on a table and looks over her shoulder, searching for someone.

"Do you have anything to eat?" I subtly ask, noticing that Seila only ordered cheese pastries. I glance at my sister as she gets up from the table and disappears from my sight. I turn back to the waiter, speaking to him with an elegant and seductive air.

"Maybe sushi?" - The waiter looked at me with bright, sparkling eyes.

"We have a special sushi menu tonight, tonight we are serving a special selection of the best of Japanese cuisine." The waiter gives me the menu and I can see a variety of sushi, steamed and cold. My stomach growls eagerly, as I haven't eaten since early in the morning.

"Wow!" Yryhnna exclaims, surprised. "It looks delicious."

"Yes, delicious," the waiter says, staring dumbfounded at Yryhnna's beautiful face.

She lifts her eyes towards him, and as expected, the man loses all ability to speak. Yryhnna sighs resignedly, used to causing that effect on humans.

"I love Japanese food!" she adds, looking at me with joy.

"Great, seems like it's your lucky night" I told her, my sister smiled at me like a lovely  kitten.

" Japanese food will be perfect, thank you" I say, handing the menu back to the restaurant employee and smiling at him. He seems slightly dazed by my smile, then shakes his head and speaks to me again automatically, not taking his eyes off mine.

"Undoubtedly mine too. I could also suggest a Blue Lagoon cocktail to accompany the appetizer."

"Oh, great!"

"I love the idea!" - Yryhnna responds. The waiter becomes so happy to the point of euphoria and leaves our side of the bar, not without clumsily stumbling into one of his colleagues and causing him to drop a tray of beers.

"Watch where you're going!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry! - the employee apologizes and disappears from sight through a door that leads him to the kitchen."

Yryhnna and I look at each other in silence and penetrate each other's minds with our eyes, both of us bursting into laughter.

"Oh, here you are!" - Seila says, relieved to see us.

The atmosphere was filled with young and handsome men, some faces were perfect like the ones I used to see in magazines, a group of women were enthusiastically talking to a man, he seemed comfortable in the conversation despite the attention from so many women. I noticed that he was the same guy who had been sitting watching his friends play tennis. I was surprised to find that this guy was not particularly good-looking, he was tall with very fair skin, bushy beard, his nose was not aquiline but it was very refined and stood out. His eyes were deep and looked attentively at the girls when they spoke. His gaze was penetrating and unsettling. His lips were thin and what was particularly striking about him was his beard and excessive body hair that covered his arms.

I asked the waiter for a drink as he approached to ask what I desired. I moved my hair back with a gesture of my arm and my ash blonde locks tumbled down my back, tickling my wet hair. I pretended not to pay attention, but the truth was that I was interested in what that man was saying. Something important in the world of sirens is that we tend to be direct and very sweet or seductive. If we liked a man, we knew it instantly by looking into his eyes and listening to his voice, and for some reason, I found this man very attractive, with his bushy beard and his hazel brown eyes, although I didn't know why yet.

He was talking with three beautiful girls, so beautiful that they could pass for sirens. He made them all laugh. One of them was a redhead with freckles scattered across her cheeks. Another had black hair reaching her shoulders. And the last one had long, curly hair cascading down her back, this was specially beautiful and her eyes has the same hazel brown color than the guy. She laughed, fascinated by his words. I rarely felt jealous of any woman. I always considered myself a daughter of the great Goddess, as all sirens are. But these women around him intrigued me; I also wanted to possess his attention.

I tried to turn towards them, uncovering my ear to listen more clearly without the curtain of my wet hair.

"We seldom stop to think that life will end," he explained, with a slight expression of fulfillment, as if he had deeply meditated on it.

My pupils dilated as I heard his voice. It was as if every word he spoke expressed wisdom. But there was also a hint of arrogance. Was I going crazy by perceiving this human so intensely? What made him so special?

"We seldom consider that this may be our last moment with this person or that this moment will never be repeated," he continued.

"You're romanticizing life," the curly-haired girl said mockingly, with a smile.

"it's not romanticizing, it's being pragmatic" he replied.

"Pragmatic?" the redhead asked. She stared at him with great interest, as if she wanted to jump on him and stick her tongue down his throat.

It was easy for me to perceive the female pheromones. Perhaps they were a couple?

I was disappointed by this thought. I didn´t now why, that guy it seemed to be really tender and nice. At that moment, the waiter approached me with my drink. The black-haired girl suddenly glanced at me over the shoulder of the redhead, who had her back to me. The guy was in between them, He was the same guy didn´t play tennis and rather prefer to sit and watch their friends playing but now than I could see him nearly, I felt an intensive attraction for him. The woman looked at me with great curiosity, but I was used to being admired for my beauty and people staring at me. I didn't mind that attention. All sirens tend to be a little -or even too much- vain.

"Only a pragmatic person can evaluate relationships and feelings to the point of measuring every second you spend with others," he said. "I have no doubt that you can value and enjoy your life without pragmatic sense, but being that way helps you analyze the value of what you experience and not let it pass by. Otherwise, you can be very Dionysian and forget to value anything at all."

In that moment, my gray eyes sparkled deeply. I had heard that man say the word "Dionysian," which was one of my favorite words.

"Perhaps you should surrender more to your passions and stop putting up so many mental barriers," the redhead said to him, with something in her voice that I couldn't decipher. Her voice was seductive but She sounds  boredom, like she just sounded dismissive.

"There is no woman who would make me even consider destroying myself to love her," he said resolutely.

"Perhaps a mermaid" The words escaped my mouth uncontrollably. The boy turned his face towards me, and the redhead who had ignored me turned to look at me in that second, gazing at me with a cold, expressionless mask.

I met their gaze defiantly, feeling vulnerable as a complete stranger in a group of four, but accustomed to conquering my fears through words, as I loved reading classic works of human literature. Then the boy who had been conversing with the pretty girls stared at me intensely, and warmth filled my heart. He was slightly bald, with a full, well-groomed beard, and his eyes could completely enchant me. They were small and ordinary, with a hazel brown color, but they reflected an understanding and wisdom that intrigued me, making me yearn to know his deepest secrets. Perhaps he was unaware, but he was very intelligent, possessing an inner dialogue and the wisdom that his words conveyed, probably will defined him completely in a couple of years. In that moment, as I looked into his eyes, I knew. I had a revelation of the future.

Some mermaids are born with magical gifts, mine was the ability to travel through time from the astral plane. I could send messages to the past or receive messages from the future. He continued to gaze at me, and my lips trembled slightly, but my heart beat fervently and quickly.

"I wouldn't stand a chance against a mermaid"-  He finally added.

The brunette girl with curly hair gave me a radiant look, She seems so sweet and lovely,  but there was something sinister behind her brown hazel eyes. It reminded me of a smile with a certain darkness on her beautiful face, a smile I had perceived before, although I couldn't recall with whom.

"In Greek and Scandinavian mythology, the mermaid is a demigoddess who lives in the oceans and with her songs, she can seduce men" - he responded. In that moment, his attention was completely focused on me.

"What do you do? Do you study ancient mythology or something similar? " - I asked, releasing a laugh.

"No, I only like to study in general"

"I like your laughter - he told me. - It sounds like the songs of a mermaid. - He added, causing me to bite my lip while listening to his compliment. That did not seem to please his new friends, who looked at me disdainfully. One of them, was wearing a golden dress, She looks beautiful but something on her made me feel uncomfortable, like if there was something dark and secret on her eyes.

"I'm a scientist, I work with artificial intelligence.""

"With robots?" - I asked.

"Well not only robots, but yes, I love working with robots" - he explained. In that moment, I understood that it was the first time he had brought up the topic the whole night. His companions hadn't asked about his work, or maybe they already knew him well enough and didn't need to talk to him about himself.

"And tell me about you" - He wonders with kind

"What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make in this world. What do you do?" - He keeps his eyes on me, I didn´t  blink and my face burned.

"Wow, that's fascinating. I would love to work with robots "  I said with my gentle voice, softer than usual and very seductive. "Although I'm afraid they might be as intelligent as humans".

"And I study Art History, and I am a singer... as well" I said with seductive voice, one part of that version wasn´t  totally right, but all the mermaids from Oceania use to sing to protect our world.

"Nothing in life is to be feared, only understood" he replied "Singing and music is a beautiful art, congratulations"

"Thank you" I said slowly.

At that moment, the redhead let out a sigh and made a gesture of boredom. She joined her companion with thick, dark lips and brown hair. I noticed that both of them were speaking in a low voice and had their eyes fixed on me. The third girl who had been beside them listening disappeared without me realizing it.

"I think I have interrupted you."

"No, not at all, we were just talking."

"About robots? " I wanted to know, raising an eyebrow.

"No, actually we were talking about genetics."

"Genetics?"

"Yes" At that moment,  He took a sip from his drink and I could observe his arms. I let out a gasp that resonated in a hushed voice, but he seemed not to hear me.

"You seem to be very wild and savage." I told to him.

"I'm a rebel without a cause."

"Like a criminal"  I said jokingly.

"Well I don´t see you like a criminal type" I answer to him

"All of us have secrets, and the aparience sometimes is not certainly near to reality" - He explained.

"You also look wild inside" He told me.

"Me? Maybe you are right.  I meant more like wild, like a beast, like an animal "  I said, looking at his hairy body. Mer-man usually didn't have much hair, in fact, they didn't have hair on their back or chest. But he had a beard, hairy arms, and even the base of his neck covered in hair. Rather than causing me disgust, something dormant and nested inside me suddenly woke up with ardor and curiosity.

My grandmother used to always tell Yryhnna that hairy men were the most passionate. I tought for myself, Yryhnna was the only one of my sisters who met my grandmother.

I glanced at his pectorals and couldn't help but imagine him making love to a woman, his warmth, his hairy body. At that moment, our eyes met, and blushing, I looked down at his chest and let out a slight moan. And then I heard a scream.

"It's a full moon!" Someone shouted. I turn my head to find that terrifying and scared voice that was so familiar to me.

"Yryhnna!" I exclaimed before running towards my sister, but it was too late. A werewolf had pounced on her, and next to her was the black-haired, fair-skinned woman  with golden dress who had been talking next to us at the bar. She lay on the floor on top of a mirror and a dark puddle. I looked at my tearful-eyed sister, with her firm chin, the same determination my father showed when going into battle. Yryhnna was going to fight for her life, I knew it instantly as I ran towards her. All I could see was a wolf-like beast, with a hairy back and huge claws coming out of its arms, standing at least three meters tall above my sister.
