60 The boy in the shadows
And even after two days, whatever was in the shadow never truly stepped out, but lingers just enough for Riviera to sense it.
And now, today at school, Riviera can feel something stalking her from the dark.
"Keep it up and I'll be forced to destroy you." Riviera said to a dark corner as she passes by.
The feeling of being watched immediately goes away.
"Hey bestie." Kylie said, running up to Riviera.
"You seem excited." Riviera notes.
"Because tomorrow is my birthday and I can't wait for the stroke of midnight to see who my mates is."
Riviera almost tells her friend to not get her hopes up, but she doesn't want to sound rude. Even though she doesn't want to see her friend get her feeling hurt again.
