Chapter Five
The sound of hushed voices filled my ears as I slowly gained consciousness.
"Why the hell is she doing this to herself! I know you know something Avril!," my father demanded.
"Alpha I assure you I have no idea why she did this, don't you think I would have done..."
She trailed off catching my fathers attention. I internally frowned wondering what they were talking about.
"What is it?"
"King Axel," she said.
Before she could say any more I willed my eyes to open and groaned when I tried to sit up. I realised they were talking about me, and I did not need my father knowing about Axel and I.
"Nevaeh," my father said as he rushed to my side.
I looked at him offering him a smile as I met Avril's gaze.
"He doesn't need to know," I mind linked her not wanting my father knowing about Axel.
She nodded at me before looking at my shoulder that had healed now in concern.
