Xavier tossed in the bed and stretched his arm to touch the beauty whom he had taken multiple times. But can he be blamed for it when she was a fucking enchantress who captured his heart? Eyes still closed and a smile lingering on his lips, he waited to feel Grace only to grasp air. His eyes shot open.
“Grace?”
Xavier mumbled, shock plastered on his face watching the bed empty.
“Grace, Grace?”
He continued calling his name as he got up from the bed. Suddenly his eyes landed on the ensuite bathroom.
“Oh, she must be in there.” He chuckled to himself and padded there.
“Grace? Baby, are you in there?” Xavier asked as he knocked gently on the door.
“Oh, come on. Don’t need to be shy. Open the door so that I can come inside.” He said and smirked. His eyes holding mischief as he anxiously waited for her reply only to be met with a deadly silence that turned him worried.
“Grace, open it. Babe” Xavier again spoke softly but when he found no response from the other side, all his concern turned to rage.
“Open the door now.” He commanded in an authoritative tone and twisted the knob only to find the door open.
“Grace?” Xavier shouted and stormed inside but he couldn’t find her anywhere.
“Did she leave?” He questioned while looking here and there. Marching towards the bathtub, he slid the curtain aside still denying the reality. There was no one.
Xavier finally lost his temper.
“GRACE!!!!”
He thundered and tore the curtain apart. Running back to the room, Xavier stopped near the bed and found the crumpled sheets which were soaked in their juices.
“AHH!!!”
His ferocious roar boomed in the four walls. Grabbing a vase, he threw it on the floor.
“I TOLD YOU. I FUCKING TOLD YOU NOT TO LEAVE YET YOU DID.”
Xavier was incensed. He immediately dashed to get his clothes but they were nowhere in sight.
Xavier froze as soon as realization sank in his mind.
Grace ditched him.
Struck by that devasting truth, he remained rooted on the spot, motionless with eyes staring at naught. A vein on his forehead throbbed as he could hear something breaking within him. Perhaps it was his heart his patience or the last string of his sanity.
An eerie silence crawled in the room when suddenly a dark chuckle resonated that even froze the air. Xavier threw his head back and continued laughing.
“You took away my clothes to love. You planned everything so that I couldn’t come and chase you.” He shook his head in disbelief and dragged his feet to the bed. Grabbing the sheets from the floor, Xavier brought it closer to his face and inhaled it.
“There it is. I got your smell.” He spoke while looking at the sheets and tilted his head. His lips were stretched in a smile but that smile wasn’t charming but creepy. Xavier’s hold tightened around the sheets abruptly when streaks of red slowly started covering the white part of his eyes.
“I have your smell and I know your name. Now how will you escape me hmm?” he asked no one and pouted.
“Tell me, Grace. HOW WILL YOU FUCKING ESCAPE ME NOW!!!”
He suddenly heaved a ferocious growl and tossed away the sheets.
“I just asked for one thing. One damn thing not to leave me yet you did.” Xavier shouted and started thrashing the room.
He was enraged. Xavier felt like he would lose his mind. How come that girl impacted him so much that he couldn’t survive another moment without her?
Unlike Grace, Xavier had slept with countless women. The women used to throw themselves on him. Xavier didn’t need to beg them instead they came running to him to spend a night with the hottest Alpha bachelor. His one glance was enough to turn them into his dolls but Grace was different. Xavier yearned for her and the way he fulfilled his desire by taking her countless times was solid proof. He didn’t lust over her instead she made him feel something more. Something powerful that had shades of care, possessiveness, and a mad desire for her. The rich freak who didn’t give two flying fucks about anyone became the slave of those emerald eyes. But she betrayed him breaking his heart that had just started to beat.
“XAVIER!! WHAT’S THE MATTER MAN??”
Phil who just entered the club came rushing inside as soon as he heard Xavier’s screams. But the sight of the room rendered him speechless. He had turned the whole room upside down.
Phil quickly locked the door and rushed to stop Xavier who was punching the wall nonstop. His knuckles were bleeding and he was sweating badly.
“Stop it. You’re bleeding dude.” He sneered but Xavier pushed him back.
“She left. How could she?” He roared. Phil looked at him confused.
“Who?” He questioned but Xavier as if in a trance continued scanning the room while breathing heavily. Phil turned alarmed because he wasn’t seeing his friend but Xavier’s hidden and dark side which only led to destruction and blood.
“L-Listen, first you need to calm down and then we’ll talk, hmm.”
Phil took cautious steps and grabbed his shoulders. Surprisingly, Xavier didn’t jerk him away this time and calmed down. Phil then made him sit on the couch and quickly fished out his phone.
“Bring Xavier’s clothes and leave them at the door. No need to come inside.” He spoke sternly to his Beta while inspecting the room silently.
By now Phil has understood everything but he just couldn’t bring himself to believe that Xavier blew his top for a girl who left him after sex when he had made this rule beforehand.
Xavier hated when the women remained in his bed and craved his attention. Phil even recalled how many girls he had killed because they wanted a demanded a relationship from the Casanova who didn’t even know the meaning of feelings. Then why is he wreaking havoc over a girl who had simply obeyed him?
Thousands of thoughts struck his mind but he kept quiet understanding the gravity of the situation.
A knock on the door grabbed his attention. Phil took the clothes and came back to Xavier who was staring ahead with his elbows resting on his knees. His jaw was still clenched and his eyes burning in anger.
“Here, wear this and get ready, then we’ll talk,” Phil spoke softly. Xavier didn’t say anything and grabbed the bag which had his clothes. He wore them quickly making Phil smile. Xavier was obeying him. That was a rare sight to watch.
But his smile instantly faded when Xavier started heading to the door.
“Wait Xavier, let’s have breakfast-”
Phil tried stopping him but the words died in his mouth when Xavier suddenly turned around and shot him the deadliest glare.
“Don’t come in my way if you want to live.” Snarling, he didn’t wait for his reply and stormed outside leaving Phil stunned.
“Is he going after her? Does he even know her name?”
Soulless emerald hues brimming with pain were staring at the beautiful scenery that was painted with the most exotic and vibrant colors. Grace can’t even think of comparing that piece of art with her bland and dull life. There was a time when her life was more enchanting and livelier than this tranquil nature but now the tables were turned. The wheels glided over the smooth tarmac carrying away from the lost soul that doesn't even know her destiny. She just came out of one relationship only to entangle herself in another unknown bond. Ended up trusting someone whom she didn’t know. Neither the face nor the name. He was just a dark shadow, an esoteric outline of her depraved past that would haunt her forever. Just that mere thought gives her goosebumps."The weather seems pleasant today, lady." The driver tried to initiate a conversation. For some reason, he wanted to cheer up the broken girl. Grace as usual ignored him and kept staring outside the window. She wasn't in the mood to tal
"Why is it taking so long?"Grace was a bundle of nerves ever since she got stuck in traffic. And to pile up her miseries, it abruptly started to rain heavily. The pitter-patter of cheerful raindrops striking against the glass pane wasn’t pleasing instead it made her heart race in fear.Fear of getting caught.Fear of getting recognized.Fear of meeting him... again. She placed her trembling palms over her left knee which was bouncing nonstop. Just that thought was enough to make her run for hills. She had come this far and now only a few miles were left to meet her destination but now she was stuck. What scared her more was that it was the tollway. If Xavier was chasing her then it could prove the perfect spot for him to catch her."Do something." She couldn't help but scream. The driver looked at her agitated."Madam, I can't run over the cars. The way is getting cleared. Hold on for a minute please." He tried to reply as politely as possible.Grace looked away annoyed. She was head
Grace who had herself plastered to the door appalled by his barbaric acts jumped after hearing her name. Her eyes widened to the size of saucers."H-He knows me-" she whispered in disbelief when Xavier shouted again making her flinch badly."GRACE!! COME OUT OR IT WON'T END WELL WITH YOU TOO!!" His demonic roar sapped her energy. Grace could the pure rage and frustration in his voice. She palmed her mouth and shriveled into the seat. The driver had already fled leaving her behind. He knew that Grace would also run away just like others but Xavier’s fear had bound her limbs. She so badly wanted to escape this destructive reality but now he was here and the worst part was that he knew her. And the way he didn't even hesitate to murder the cops was a clear sign that he was bad news. She entangled herself with a murderer. A psychopathic killer."O-Oh, my God." Sobs escaped her mouth when she watched Xavier through the misty window who was coming straight in her direction. She couldn't see
A few days later“Anna, table 2 demands two of your finest lattes.”“Aye Captain,” the girl chuckled and hurriedly wiped her hands on her apron. Grabbing a cup from the counter, she picked up the jar and started pouring the espresso.“Make it extra creamier. That brunette had especially mentioned it. I don’t know why girls demand something like that. It’s a coffee, not an ice cream.” The man spoke as he leaned his rear against the counter.Grace stifled her smile as she started adding the milk, “It’s not the same with every girl, Adam. I also don’t like extra cream and sugar.”Adam smiled, “I am really lucky to have a barista like you.”Grace scoffed and looked at him with raised brows, “Oh come on. Don’t flatter me.”Two weeks have passed since Grace relocated to Springfield. To make ends meet, she started working in a coffee shop as a barista. She had to fake her identity to save herself from that psycho who might be on a hunt. She even changed her sim so that her father couldn’t tr
"You need to take a break, Xavier," Nicholas spoke as he entered the gym with a glass of water in his hand. Xavier on the other hand ignored him and continued raining down punches on the sandbag without any reprieve. He was only in his joggers. His tanned skin was glistening with sweat and his loud and harsh breaths resonated in the room.Nicholas shook his head and walked towards him. Dipping his hand in the pocket of his trousers, he fished out a bottle and uncapped it before inching closer to him."Here, have your medicine." He said and extended his hand for him to take. That's when Xavier stopped and grasped the sandbag. Resting his forehead against it, he took deep breaths. Once his breathing turned even, he turned to Nicholas and snatched the pills from his hand roughly. Nicholas sighed and handed him the glass. Xavier quietly took it and placed the pill in his mouth before chugging it down with the water. His long hair had turned greasy because of working out for so long. A few
Grace"God, what's wrong with me?"This was the fifth time when I threw up. I even skipped my job because of my bad stomach."I was fine till last week then what happened to me."I could hardly eat the sandwich I made today. It was my favorite cheese sandwich but today its smell even disgusted me. Confused and angry, I deliberately swallowed and that’s when I started throwing up. But it wasn’t today but has turned into a routine. I ignored it earlier but today is the third day.Disgorging the contents of my stomach, I finally washed my face and leaned against the sink. I had a terrible headache. Double trouble."Mum, please help." Clutching my head, I dragged my feet to the bed and plopped on it with a thud. I was feeling too weak."Maybe I should see a doctor."I quickly retrieved my phone from the nightstand when the doorbell of my apartment chimed."Oh, no."I am already so tired and now I got a visitor too. Great.Grunting in pain, I somehow managed to reach the door. The person o
“You need to sit Ms. Evans.” The doctor hurried to me and helped me sit in the chair. I on the other hand was too stunned to react. A myriad of emotions struck me like a whiplash. Tears of helplessness invaded my eyes but I swallowed them, refusing to shed even a single drop.I am pregnant. Of course, I had sex. How can I forget it? All these days of glee and serenity erased that haunted memory when I committed the biggest sin and ran away like a coward. The doctor on the other hand raised her left brow perhaps confused at my shocked state but she then quickly leaped to hold my hand and squeezed it gently."Don't need to panic. It's fine. Do you want me to call your boyfriend?""No don't." Her words triggered me to action. There is no way I can let Adam ever know about this. But this was seriously too much for me to take."I-I am pregnant. Oh my God!!" I grabbed my head as terror slowly seized my body. How could I be so careless? But it's not my fault too. I was so scared and desperat
"So that's why you came here," Adam spoke with a sigh. Grace gave him an imperceptible nod while keeping her eyes glued to the ground. After getting exposed at the hospital, Grace had nothing to hide anymore. Was there even anything left? He'll probably start hating her and cut his ties with her or support her which was nearly impossible. Grace decided to be honest with him and told him everything. How her heartbreak led her to trust a stranger. A profound silence swept in the room as Adam mulled over her words. It was really too much to digest. Grace on the other hand bit her lips. Tears of shame filled her eyes. She hated to be in such a situation. "I-I know it's too much and you must be hating me right now. But I-I didn't have the strength to reveal my past. It is traumatic for me too and I was so busy in getting my life back on track that I completely forgot about it." Her last words were an innuendo of that sinful night. She had never thought that she was carrying his seeds the
