The dazzling golden lights illuminated the room, erasing the darkness and blurring the sinful deeds of last night. Tortures which the Alpha reflected to sate his insatiable hunger were printed on the fragile figure who was wrapped in a thin white sheet. His handprints were visible on every inch of her skin as Xavier made sure to carve his name deep into her soul so that she remembers him forever.
Feeling the scorching rays of the sun on her face, Grace groggily opened her eyes. Unlike the usual days, she felt much refreshed and energetic. A smile ghosted over her lips but no sooner she turned, a wince escaped her mouth as she was welcomed with a searing pain that nearly cracked her bones.
“Ahh!! What the-”
She groaned out loud and tried to move her legs only to hiss out in pain. She couldn’t feel them. Mustering up some strength, she tried sitting up when a bone-chilling shock struck her.
A man nearly thrice the size of her was lying beside her. The first thing she noticed was a giant tattoo on his back as he was naked. It was exquisite but it only made her heart pound crazily. Grace couldn’t see his face nor she wanted to since he was sleeping on his stomach with his arms resting on both sides of his head.
“W-What happened?”
Fear danced in her eyes. Ignoring the pain, Grace stood up with a jerk only to gasp in horror. She was naked.
“N-No...”
Her eyes welled up as she calculated the possibilities mentally. She shook her head not wanting to believe it when her eyes landed on a huge blood stain on the sheets near her lower region. Confronting her with her biggest sin.
Grace stiffened, her face turning pale in realization.
‘She had sex’
It was normal considering she was an adult but the thing was...
She ended up losing her virginity to a stranger.
The girl gasped for air as the bitter reality was powerful enough to choke her to death.
She just broke up with Felix. How come she let his betrayal impact her so much? She lost her sanity and ended up doing such a horrendous crime.
She wasn’t human. How come she risked her father’s safety just to get over a stupid heartbreak?
What if she had revealed her identity to that stranger?
Grace grabbed her head and squeezed her eyes tightly as she tried to remember last night’s events. But all she could see was darkness.
Grace continued pressuring her mind trying to get a single clue that could give her answers when a low groan shook her. Terrorized, Grace quickly morphed into a statue as she peered at the man who jerked a bit. But luckily, he fell asleep making her sigh in relief.
“I should leave”
She can ponder over these issues later because staying here would invite more trouble. Biting her lips, Grace slipped from the bed and carried her weight to the floor ’cause she couldn’t walk. She tried to find her dress only to find torn shreds of fabric littered all over the floor.
“How will I leave from here?”
Tears leaked down her eyes but Grace quickly composed herself. And as if God listened to her prayers, she immediately found a black tee near the left foot of the bed. Grace didn’t think twice and slipped into it. Her legs ached a lot but she somehow managed to fit into Xavier’s black cargo pants. It was too loose so she folded them twice around her waist.
Without dallying further, she made a blind dash out of the room. She just wanted to leave this place as soon as possible.
Her breath hitched when she trudged through the dark hallways that were reeking of alcohol and smoke. Her stomach churned in disgust watching naked people sleeping on the floor in a position that was way too uncomfortable to watch. Some were on the floor while some were sprawled on the couch. Grace hurried to the exit when she saw two naked girls on top of a man. Her steps faltered but she just ran away from there.
Grace continued running with her bare feet not even caring about the agonizing pain that was scalding her nether region. The people looked at her confused while some threw weird glances her way because of the way she was dressed. She looked comical.
Her legs couldn’t bear the pain anymore and finally gave up. Grace fell on the ground with a loud thump and that’s when her dam broke.
Loud sobs escaped her mouth recalling those freaks in that disgusting club. But the question was does she even hold the right to bad mouth anymore when she did the same thing?
The reality was a tight slap on her face. Because no matter how much she tries to run from it she can’t deny the fact that she used sex to get rid of the pain of heartbreak.
“G-God, what have I done?” Fisting her hair, Grace pulled it in frustration. “How can I let Felix scatter me completely? There’s no way I can ever justify it.” She cried and buried her face in her palms.
People sort to different ways to subdue their pain. Some fight it, some seek help from family or friends while some enter that dark loop that only revolves around three things, sex, drugs, and alcohol. Grace chose the latter one because she didn’t have the courage to face it. Her biggest mistake was that she kept things to herself which made her solely responsible for the consequences.
But can crying turn things right? Grace raised her head and wept while staring at the white clouds scattered on that blue canvas.
“I made a grave mistake, Mum. Werewolves live with a commitment. A promise to protect each other even if it costs them their life. But I sacrificed everything last night. I don’t know whether I revealed my identity to him or not but staying here will be too risky. What if I had told him everything? What if he comes after me and my pack?”
She couldn’t take this chance. Her mind conjured up with only pessimistic thoughts.
Clutching her chest, she shook her head, “No, I can’t be this selfish. Already I have risked my people by my reckless act. There might be a chance that I didn’t reveal anything but what if I had? And what if my pack has to face the repercussions? Even if I chose to stay, what if they came to know about this? Then what will I do? I can’t live with the constant fear of getting exposed. And what about Dad? How am I gonna face him now?′
Grace palmed her mouth as hiccups shook her violently. She was scared. Scared of facing her father, Rachel, and her pack. Nothing is going to be the same from now.
Grace was emotionally broken which drove her to take such a big step otherwise she was a simple, innocent, and elegant lady. Her world revolved around her father and Felix. The girl craved nothing but happiness for her loved ones. A wish which was too simple, and pleasant yet it turned so difficult for her to achieve it.
But what’s done is done. She can’t undo the circumstances instead face them. Wiping her tears, Grace composed herself and stood up on her wobbly legs. An immense pain instantly shot up in her core. She tried to suppress the pain but still, a tear slid down her cheek because that beast despite knowing that she was a virgin ruthlessly ruined her in the most inhumane ways.
Limping, Grace somehow managed to walk forward and flagged down a cab. Slipping inside, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes.
The happy face of her father flashed in her mind. He believed in her and had so many expectations. But she poured water on all his expectations. She placed Felix above everything and turned blind in his love.
No sooner had his betrayal struck her mind than a wave of sheer rage surged through her veins. She had lamented enough but he doesn’t deserve it. He didn’t even come to check up on her. Grace was ashamed of herself for loving that selfish bastard.
Grace looked outside the window taking one last glance at the place where she would never come again.
She was going to leave everything behind and start afresh. Her father will survive and it’s better if she stays away from her. He was the leader of their pack and those people held immense respect for him. They needed him more than her. She would happily sacrifice everything to save his father’s reputation.
“Where to lady?” The driver asked her confused wondering why she looked so lost.
Closing her eyes, Grace turned to the front and rolled the windows up.
“Springfield.”
Xavier tossed in the bed and stretched his arm to touch the beauty whom he had taken multiple times. But can he be blamed for it when she was a fucking enchantress who captured his heart? Eyes still closed and a smile lingering on his lips, he waited to feel Grace only to grasp air. His eyes shot open.“Grace?”Xavier mumbled, shock plastered on his face watching the bed empty.“Grace, Grace?”He continued calling his name as he got up from the bed. Suddenly his eyes landed on the ensuite bathroom.“Oh, she must be in there.” He chuckled to himself and padded there.“Grace? Baby, are you in there?” Xavier asked as he knocked gently on the door.“Oh, come on. Don’t need to be shy. Open the door so that I can come inside.” He said and smirked. His eyes holding mischief as he anxiously waited for her reply only to be met with a deadly silence that turned him worried.“Grace, open it. Babe” Xavier again spoke softly but when he found no response from the other side, all his concern turned
Soulless emerald hues brimming with pain were staring at the beautiful scenery that was painted with the most exotic and vibrant colors. Grace can’t even think of comparing that piece of art with her bland and dull life. There was a time when her life was more enchanting and livelier than this tranquil nature but now the tables were turned. The wheels glided over the smooth tarmac carrying away from the lost soul that doesn't even know her destiny. She just came out of one relationship only to entangle herself in another unknown bond. Ended up trusting someone whom she didn’t know. Neither the face nor the name. He was just a dark shadow, an esoteric outline of her depraved past that would haunt her forever. Just that mere thought gives her goosebumps."The weather seems pleasant today, lady." The driver tried to initiate a conversation. For some reason, he wanted to cheer up the broken girl. Grace as usual ignored him and kept staring outside the window. She wasn't in the mood to tal
"Why is it taking so long?"Grace was a bundle of nerves ever since she got stuck in traffic. And to pile up her miseries, it abruptly started to rain heavily. The pitter-patter of cheerful raindrops striking against the glass pane wasn’t pleasing instead it made her heart race in fear.Fear of getting caught.Fear of getting recognized.Fear of meeting him... again. She placed her trembling palms over her left knee which was bouncing nonstop. Just that thought was enough to make her run for hills. She had come this far and now only a few miles were left to meet her destination but now she was stuck. What scared her more was that it was the tollway. If Xavier was chasing her then it could prove the perfect spot for him to catch her."Do something." She couldn't help but scream. The driver looked at her agitated."Madam, I can't run over the cars. The way is getting cleared. Hold on for a minute please." He tried to reply as politely as possible.Grace looked away annoyed. She was head
Grace who had herself plastered to the door appalled by his barbaric acts jumped after hearing her name. Her eyes widened to the size of saucers."H-He knows me-" she whispered in disbelief when Xavier shouted again making her flinch badly."GRACE!! COME OUT OR IT WON'T END WELL WITH YOU TOO!!" His demonic roar sapped her energy. Grace could the pure rage and frustration in his voice. She palmed her mouth and shriveled into the seat. The driver had already fled leaving her behind. He knew that Grace would also run away just like others but Xavier’s fear had bound her limbs. She so badly wanted to escape this destructive reality but now he was here and the worst part was that he knew her. And the way he didn't even hesitate to murder the cops was a clear sign that he was bad news. She entangled herself with a murderer. A psychopathic killer."O-Oh, my God." Sobs escaped her mouth when she watched Xavier through the misty window who was coming straight in her direction. She couldn't see
A few days later“Anna, table 2 demands two of your finest lattes.”“Aye Captain,” the girl chuckled and hurriedly wiped her hands on her apron. Grabbing a cup from the counter, she picked up the jar and started pouring the espresso.“Make it extra creamier. That brunette had especially mentioned it. I don’t know why girls demand something like that. It’s a coffee, not an ice cream.” The man spoke as he leaned his rear against the counter.Grace stifled her smile as she started adding the milk, “It’s not the same with every girl, Adam. I also don’t like extra cream and sugar.”Adam smiled, “I am really lucky to have a barista like you.”Grace scoffed and looked at him with raised brows, “Oh come on. Don’t flatter me.”Two weeks have passed since Grace relocated to Springfield. To make ends meet, she started working in a coffee shop as a barista. She had to fake her identity to save herself from that psycho who might be on a hunt. She even changed her sim so that her father couldn’t tr
"You need to take a break, Xavier," Nicholas spoke as he entered the gym with a glass of water in his hand. Xavier on the other hand ignored him and continued raining down punches on the sandbag without any reprieve. He was only in his joggers. His tanned skin was glistening with sweat and his loud and harsh breaths resonated in the room.Nicholas shook his head and walked towards him. Dipping his hand in the pocket of his trousers, he fished out a bottle and uncapped it before inching closer to him."Here, have your medicine." He said and extended his hand for him to take. That's when Xavier stopped and grasped the sandbag. Resting his forehead against it, he took deep breaths. Once his breathing turned even, he turned to Nicholas and snatched the pills from his hand roughly. Nicholas sighed and handed him the glass. Xavier quietly took it and placed the pill in his mouth before chugging it down with the water. His long hair had turned greasy because of working out for so long. A few
Grace"God, what's wrong with me?"This was the fifth time when I threw up. I even skipped my job because of my bad stomach."I was fine till last week then what happened to me."I could hardly eat the sandwich I made today. It was my favorite cheese sandwich but today its smell even disgusted me. Confused and angry, I deliberately swallowed and that’s when I started throwing up. But it wasn’t today but has turned into a routine. I ignored it earlier but today is the third day.Disgorging the contents of my stomach, I finally washed my face and leaned against the sink. I had a terrible headache. Double trouble."Mum, please help." Clutching my head, I dragged my feet to the bed and plopped on it with a thud. I was feeling too weak."Maybe I should see a doctor."I quickly retrieved my phone from the nightstand when the doorbell of my apartment chimed."Oh, no."I am already so tired and now I got a visitor too. Great.Grunting in pain, I somehow managed to reach the door. The person o
“You need to sit Ms. Evans.” The doctor hurried to me and helped me sit in the chair. I on the other hand was too stunned to react. A myriad of emotions struck me like a whiplash. Tears of helplessness invaded my eyes but I swallowed them, refusing to shed even a single drop.I am pregnant. Of course, I had sex. How can I forget it? All these days of glee and serenity erased that haunted memory when I committed the biggest sin and ran away like a coward. The doctor on the other hand raised her left brow perhaps confused at my shocked state but she then quickly leaped to hold my hand and squeezed it gently."Don't need to panic. It's fine. Do you want me to call your boyfriend?""No don't." Her words triggered me to action. There is no way I can let Adam ever know about this. But this was seriously too much for me to take."I-I am pregnant. Oh my God!!" I grabbed my head as terror slowly seized my body. How could I be so careless? But it's not my fault too. I was so scared and desperat
