Chapter 3

Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.

"Sup, little cat." I heard him whispering in my ear from behind. His voice laced with nothing but danger freezing me in my tracks.

Chills ran down my spine when I realised how close I was standing to my end. I couldn't help but go rigid in my place. His face was so close to my back that I could hear him breathing right behind me. Tears threatened to fall down my cheeks but I controlled them. I can't cry. I won't.

There are people. He can't do any harm. He can't kill me. He won't kill me. I chanted in my head to assure myself of my safety between these people who are talking shit about Ray who isn't here and is dead. They are all blaming him for making us all late but no one is thinking about the things that could have gone wrong with him.

Terror slowly seeped inside my body just by the mere presence of the monster standing close behind my body. He is invading my private space and I want to scream at him to back off and let me be. But I don't.

"Pretty fast runner, aren't you?" He whispered again with a hint of playfulness and mischievousness in his voice while there I was standing with my heart in my throat. I wanted to run but my feet stayed glued to the floor under me.

I looked around for Tori who was standing with me just a few minutes ago and is now nowhere to see. Wandering through different people in the hallway my eyes finally landed on the brown haired girl standing a few steps away from me, engrossed in some conversation with a boy.

She was so close yet looked so far away. Everyone was busy in their own world when the monster behind me filled me with fear. It was hard to even breathe with him breathing the same air as me.

"Move." He commanded and I felt something cold like metal pressing in my body from behind. My body went stiff when I realised what it is.

A gun.

I opened my mouth to scream but his next words tied my words in an invisible knot that only affected me, "Unless you want another show like last night." He added and my eyes widened in my horror when I understood the meaning behind his words.

My hands trembled and stated sweating when I rubbed them against my jeans to clean them. "Move." He demanded, his voice had a slight edge to it now and I knew better than to piss him off or call his words a bluff. When, I myself witnessed how he kills as casually as he blinks.

I can just hope Tori notices my absence before I am gone too far. Obeying his commands I slowly took steps away from the crowd I was standing in going far and far away with each step watching as no one bothered about another girl going missing among them.

I lost them. They weren't even in my sight anymore when I felt the front of gun pressing harder in my back and a sudden gasp escaped my lips.

"Keep moving." He demanded, his voice turned hoarse and lazy. I obeyed without any word as he pushed me to move further.

Once we were out of the hotel, I noticed a black mercedes parked behind the hotel. Without wasting anytime, he pulled me with hin towards the car.

A man dressed in all black attire came out of the driver seat and opened the door as the man with grey eyes shoved me inside the car with a rough push.

I sat down properly on the leather seat in the car while observing the two of them exchanging some words.

"Get the basement, ready." He ordered the man standing in front of him with his head bowed down. This shows the amount of power this man might hold.

"And, drive home." He ordered before he got inside the car beside me. I shifted to the other sode of the car, maintaining as much as distance is possible with him.

Taking a side glance at his side angl, she quickly turned her head to look anywhere but at him. His face just does the work of haunting me with those lifeless blue eyes.

I intertwined my both hands, resting them in my lap as I fought hard to not fidget with nervousness. The man breathing beside me took a life last night and is now intended on painting his hands with my blood.

I don't even know how I am handling all this.

The car drove at a medium pace giving me enough time to look at the things and buildings that we passed but only if I could concentrate on them with a monster sitting right beside me.

I released a deep breath slowly, I didn't realised was holding, without causing him disturbance or attracting his attention.

"Stop moving." He warned as he noticed me shifting in my seat every second. But how do I tell him that his mere presence is being the reason of her having difficulty in breathing. My chest ached but I tried to take deep breaths instead of voicing my pain. What good will it do any way?

The car came to a stop in front of a huge luxurious mansion. The mansion looked nothing less than a royal place with it's white marbles shining from a distance. The greenery around the mansion was breathtaking if I haven't been in a situation of having my life at stake I would have gaped at this beauty for hours and appreciated it.

But the case is otherwise, right now.

When we stepped inside the huge mansion, a man standing at the door bowed down to the man walking beside me with his fingers wrapped tightly around my arm when he pulled me inside with him.

He threw me on the hard floor of the mansion inside and shook his hands together as if cleaning the dirt he caught by touching me.

I flinched when my eyes caught the sight of bruise on my elbow by falling down and another bruise on my arm because of his deadly grip on it. He left his marks.

Three boys gathered in the room, quickly, surrounding me. The two of them looked at the huge man expecting orders while one of them looked down at me with curiosity.

"Lucas, take her to the basement." The man with grey eyes ordered one of the three man and the man with blue eyes who I suppose is Lucas nodded.

But before he could touch me the guy staring down at me with curiosity speak up, "Who is she?" He asked his eyes focusing at me while his words directed to the man behind me.

"Just a little cat that couldn't keep her curiosity to herself." He answered, bored. His grey eyes focuses at me for a quick minute before he signalled the guy named Lucas to fulfill his order.
