Attentive Man

Olivia had just entered her work room when her eyes caught something on her desk. The woman found her favorite pink rose. There was a box of sandwiches and also avocado juice in the bottle. And the avocado juice brand is the brand that the woman always buys.

Her smile was perfect. Now she feels really very happy. Olivia was very happy to get a surprise like this from Andrew. The woman was already touching the receiver on the phone on her desk when her eyes caught a greeting card stuck to a flower.

The woman decided to cancel her intention to contact Andrew and chose to read the message from the greeting card. His blue eyes widened when he realized that it wasn't Andrew who sent all this but Jason. The man did it.

"Do you like my gift?" asked a man from the doorway of Olivia's work room. The woman turned surprised by Jason's presence but then the shock turned into anger.

Jason had closed the door to the room and held back Olivia's anger and covered her mouth with his hand. The man carried Olivia onto the sofa not far from the woman's desk and dropped Olivia's body onto the sofa.

"Do you still have manners? You're even a new employee! Use your manners to not give me gifts! I almost called Andrew and thanked my boyfriend because I thought he gave me all of it," Olivia said with all her anger bursting out while pointed to everything Jason had given him on his desk.

"You're still the same as you were before," Jason said, laughing softly.

"What are you laughing at?! Was what I said so funny to you?!" Olivia asked, getting angry again. This time Jason had turned serious to look at the woman.

"I'm your fiancé," the man said quietly, surprising Olivia.

"What?"

"Yes. I was your fiancé in the past. So, shouldn't I give you something because I miss you?" Jason asked now turning soft.

"You're crazy!"

Olivia got up from the sofa and was about to get out of her study when Jason's hand grabbed her and made her touch the wall.

"Let go of me! I know it was David Gray who asked you to do all this!"

"No. I don't work for him. Trust me, Olivia," Jason said, tightening his grip on Olivia's hand.

Olivia now eased up a bit and didn't show her anger anymore. The man had already let go of Olivia's hand which he had previously gripped. Jason now looked into those blue eyes he missed and gave him a warm hug. Olivia didn't resist the man's embrace. She felt the warmth that seemed long gone but reappeared in her. After the hug was released, Olivia looked seriously at Jason.

"Are you used to being sentimental like this? Or did you just break up with your fiancé and think of me as your fiancé?" Olivia asked now seriously. Jason shook his head and tried to calm himself for a moment.

"Of course not both. I can prove to you what I said. I do work for Gold Corp but I don't really work at all. I've been looking for you all this time," Jason replied seriously.

"Stop pretending that you've known me. I have a bad memory, but I don't remember ever dating someone like you," Olivia said a bit curtly now.

Jason grabbed Olivia's hand again but more gently this time. The man's gaze also turned slightly softened from before. "Meet me after hours. We have to go somewhere. And I'll tell you what really happened," Jason said firmly.

After that the man had let go of his hand that was holding Olivia and intended to get out of the room immediately. "Can I trust you? Are you really going to tell me the truth?" Olivia asked just as Jason touched the doorknob.

The man stopped his intention to open the door and looked back at Olivia. "Of course you can trust me," Jason replied with a small smile. The man had now opened the door of the room and was a little surprised by the presence of Andrew who was currently standing right in front of the entrance to Olivia's study.

Jason had bowed his head politely. Greeted Andrew for a while and then walked away from the room. Made Andrew hold a lot of questions in his mind right now.

Andrew's green eyes were now staring at the flowers, juice and sandwiches that were on Olivia's desk. "I asked Jason to buy it. I really want to eat a sandwich today," said Olivia who had walked casually to her desk. The woman took the box of sandwiches with ease and sat down on the chair.

"Is there something you want to say?" Olivia asked Andrew who was still staring at him. The man shook his head and took a deep breath.

"Are you that close to him?" asked Andrew to make sure.

'Of course not. I just asked the guy to buy all this. You know, I didn't eat breakfast this morning because I woke up in a bit of a hurry," Olivia replied.

Andrew's eyes were now on Olivia's desk and couldn't find anything that seemed odd to him. "You should have told me if you wanted something. You know, I don't like seeing you with other men," Andrew said bluntly.

"He's not another man. He's your employee. I even often ask Claire to buy avocado juice. It's not a big deal, is it?"

Andrew nodded. "I think I'm too worried. Alright. I'll go out now. See you at lunch," said Andrew smiling blandly. The man immediately came out of Olivia's room.

Olivia felt really relieved after seeing Andrew who had come out of his study. The woman reached into her coat pocket and found the greeting card that had previously been part of the present Jason had given her.

The woman's mind continuously formed a question. And Olivia had just remembered what Jason had said earlier. "Can I really trust you? Can I really get answers to all my doubts?"

Olivia sighed and followed her instincts to get back to work right now. Yes. The woman had to work until the end of day.
