Ryker’s POV

Shit!

I had been screwed by Cassie. She told Shea about the bet before I had the chance to tell her myself. I never wanted to hurt Shea. I just wanted to give her more time to heal from what she was going through. I had plans to take her out on another date, to tell her how much I loved and cherished her and then eventually tell her about the bet. But Cassie ruined everything.

I ran out of the pool area to go after Shea, but she was already getting into a car. I knew it was Laurel’s car.

I didn’t know what to do. Should I go after Laurel’s car so I could talk to Shea? Or should I give her some time? I honestly don’t know which is better.

I slowly walked back to my car and got in. I hit my hands on the steering wheel multiple times and yelled my lungs out.
