Klyde loudly placed his phone face down on the vanity table in front of him and focused on the brush gently grazing his face. He knew he was wishing for the impossible but he still felt disappointment tug at him when he woke up in the same room. Everything was like a déjà vu. He woke up to the sound of his secretary’s voice calling his name. He didn’t even know he fell asleep.
