I had read Jake’s text over and over again.

Someone wants you dead.

Maybe the trauma of days past had altered my line of thinking but my paranoia was getting out of hand.

Someone wants me dead. It was already a week since the sniper attempt on my head and Jake was running into no leads meaning that opponenet sure knew what they were doing or who they were dealing with.

I was still in my cubicle finishing up some files on the computer in the office, it was already past six and i was the last person left in my department. Mary thought i should’ve taken the rest of the work home but i inisisted to stay behind.
