Edith and Christopher watched as I packed my things, which weren’t really a lot, though they kept insisting I take more and more.

At this point, I might have to bring a whole box.

I couldn’t tell her that as soon as I’m back with the White Howlers, I might not even need to wear thick clothing. I never did feel cold since arriving here, but I needed to act like I did because that’s how a human body worked.
