Chapter 3

A melody hummed behind the bedroom door -Ryder’s hands gently bowed a soft tune on his almost invisible violin -soothing Sunshine into a calming and relaxing state. – as she laid upon my chest, my hand stroking the top of her head. Many thoughts raced through my mind as I kept my gaze on the doll playing a lullaby. “So, you couldn’t leave it alone, could you?” I asked Ryder but he gave no response, only kept still in his place. -It didn’t take long before my ears perked up to a small breathing noise, I looked down and saw that my mate was completely asleep. My fingers softly gripped her chin tipping her face to me - My eyes memorizing the sweet look of innocence on her face -Her lips had a small rose-pink tint to them. Kissable. I leaned my face down meeting hers, my lips gently brushed against the flesh stealing a sweet and yet delicious kiss- claiming her mouth with mine. she must have felt the wetness of my tongue traced along the edges of her bottom lip when her blue diamond eyes gently fluttered open but there was no look of horror or shock that I had stolen a kiss while she slept but the look of need and want that pooled behind her iris’s – it excited me to know she was feeling the fever.

Seth?” Sunshine whispered his name.

“Yes, little one?” I asked - My hand gently snaked behind her head- my fingers gripped the golden strands of her hair. “If you tell me to stop right now, I will” I whispered.

"No, don’t stop” I lightly breathed out as I wanted more of him – my lips parted open slightly granting him full access.

I rolled right on top of her body, towering over her, my hands blocking each side of her head caging her in. My mouth crashed with her already swollen mouth, deepening my kiss - dominating the inside, Painting her cheeks with my scent. I can feel this magical wave pass back and forth between us, it was strong, it drowned both of us as it sent electrical shocks across my skin.

My body began to overheat, “Seth” I moaned inside our kiss. But he was in too deep, his tongue darted in my throat like a snake – with each push he initiated – it cut the breathing off of and filled me with dizziness that only filled my thoughts of him and into a steady rhythm of my own need and desperation.

My hands gripped the thin straps of her nightgown pushing them off her shoulders, I released my mouth away from her and nipped the skin of her slender shoulder till my teeth clamped down on a piece of skin tugging on it. My hands found a perfect spot on her thighs pushing them apart enough as I slid in between them. Something about her soul was calling to me, it said my name, I couldn’t stop myself, I lost control over my magic for the first time in hundreds of years. And I will admit, I enjoyed it.

“Seth” I moaned once more as his power spilled into me filling me. But it was no use, he couldn’t hear me calling his name over the rushing wave of magic that engulfed us both. Caging us as if there was no one else left in the world but us two. I drew in a deep breath as his fingers grazed across my naked, wet rose petals. “Don’t stop” I groaned while gripping the sheets that surrounded around me. All I wanted, no, needed, was one touch from him to cure me of my aching need.
